Jaguars running back Chris Ivory has been released from the hospital “and is doing well,” the team announced Tuesday afternoon.
Ivory was admitted to a hospital last Sunday and missed the team’s season opener. Few specifics about why he was hospitalized have been released.
Ivory’s status for Sunday’s game in San Diego has not been determined. The Jaguars return to the practice field Wednesday to begin preparing for that game.
Ivory, 28, signed a three-year deal with the Jaguars as part of the team’s free agent spending spree last March. His absence for the season opener made T.J. Yeldon the team’s primary ball carrier.
