Browns center Cameron Erving suffered a pulmonary contusion and will remain hospitalized overnight for observation, the team announced Sunday night.

Erving was taken to the hospital after Sunday’s game, which he left during the game’s final drive. He was hospitalized after experiencing cramps and discomfort in his chest and ribs, and further testing revealed what’s essentially a bruised lung caused by chest trauma.

A first-round pick in 2015, Erving is in his first season as the team’s starting center.
