The Colts just added some receiving depth, which is fine, except for the reason they need it.

The team announced they signed wide receiver Devin Street off the Patriots practice squad. The 6-foot-3, 200-pound Street was in camp with the Cowboys, and has played in 31 games with two starts there. The former fifth-rounder from Pittsburgh has nine career receptions for 132 yards and a touchdown.

There’s some concern there that wideout Donte Moncrief is going to miss some time because of a shoulder injury, and it’s just a matter of how much. According to Stephen Holder of the Indianapolis Star, they’re still trying to gauge how long he’ll be out, though the problem is not believed to be season-ending.

Moncrief was knocked out after a big hit from Broncos safety T.J. Ward in the second quarter last week and didn’t return to the game.
