Emmanuel Sanders not fined for Antonio Brown-style move

AP

Key & Peele got it right; two pumps are allowed.

Two weeks after Steelers receiver Antonio Brown drew a flag and a fine for a pelvic-thrust celebration that included three (maybe four) pumps, Broncos receiver Emmanuel Sanders escaped both by stopping short of three.

While it’s possible Sanders added a third pump (CBS cameras cut away after two), the NFL tells PFT that Sanders was not fined.

The two plays had striking similarities. Perhaps the only difference was the number of pumps. Which would indeed make Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele prescient.

What a surprise, a Bronco getting away with something other players are disciplined for.

  2. Considering Goodell has allowed them to cheat the cap for Gomer AND use that stash of Chinese PEDs from Guyer, along with the entire Broncos roid team, this is not surprising whatsoever.

There are certain teams that control Goodell’s every move and Horseteeth’s team is obviously one of them.

  3. Bronco articles are like chum in the water for Patriot fanboys who come whining like hungry puppies.

Big deal if Sanders got away with something….cry a little .

  4. Minor? You cheated all other teams over 16+ games for THREE YEARS IN A ROW.

Your cheating scumbag team also stole key players from divisional rivals like Darien Gordon from SD and Neil Smith from KC.

So, you actually doubled down on the cheating, weakening two division teams in the process, while KNOWINGLY cheating.

No NFL team in the cap era has been found to have cheated for 3 years in a row like that, or even 2 years in a row.

If it was 1 year like Pitt or SF who ALSO were guilty, it would appear like it was a minor mistake, yes.

But, Denver? 3 years in a row = CHEATING. Actual, real cheating.

Cry on my hater babies. Your tears are delicious. denver was found for a minor salary cap infraction 18 years ago. Wow!
    ———————

It was two major infractions, they paid nearly $2 million in fines and lost draft picks, and it tainted those two Super Bowl wins.

  6. “That was 3 pumps, the rule book says you can’t have more than 2. That was clearly 3 pumps.”

The ref is gonna get ya everytime…apologies to all those watching with small children.

Says the Pittsburgh fan that comments more on Pats articles than on Steelers articles and routinely resorts to name calling.

  8. Um having more money to spend than every one else in the league is definitely not minor. Millions of dollars given to players under the table to sign misleading contracts is not minor. I dont think it taints their titles but when you call loss of air in a football cheating and a competitive advantage, then call paying players more than the amount allowed by any team “minor.” There is something wrong with that.

  9. Ironic how much Tylawspick hates on the broncos for cheating 20 yrs ago, your pats STILL DO IT REGULARLY!

By the way, Bronco players have been fined 3 times this year.

Get over it and out of the basement Bronco troll!

  10. Fact: Pats have never cheated.

    End of story.

All of a sudden a new commissioner comes in and is told to manufacture stories or scandals against the upper level teams, wherever and whenever the opportunity arises.

Fact: The Denver Broncos had a QB last year on illegal PEDs and had a commissioner just cover for him. Also, they cheated the cap in 1995, 1996 and 1997 and then lied about it.

Bill Belichick mocking Eric Mangini with the video coordinator intern in an improper location is not cheating. It’s called mocking someone.

    Period. End of story.

Talgiabue was not asleep as a commissioner from 2000-2005.

And we know Goodell caught lying about Brady giving orders to “deflate” footballs. The very notion that a QB would want a heavier, slower spinning ball should have been enough to tip educated people off, that this was a made up thing.

But, nope! We have MANY stupid people in this country and they are Goodell’s wet dream.

Time to grow a pair skippy. Your handle is no stranger to Steeler threads either. Name calling….? Pull up your diapers and grab a snickers if you want to play with the men.

Why don’t Pats fans bring up Rob Ninkovich ped use?
    ——————————————
Well, for one thing he was suspended for substance abuse. Not PEDS. There’s a difference. Sort of like Talib not being suspended or charged for shooting himself in the leg unlike Placico Burress who the Giants suspended for 4 games left in the season after, wait for it, shooting himself in the leg and being charged. Denver fans are at the height of hypocrites. Everyone see’s the blatant preferential treatment except those bozo’s. Enjoy it losers, win a couple more SB’s and the owners will sic Goodell on your team.

You mean where I can routinely be found saying AB is the best there is right now, Ben has become a great leader and Goodell carries wood for Deebo? Saying positive thing and showing respect for a quality opponent is a bad thing now?

No, it was a banned substance. Purportedly from a tainted supplement that did not list it as an ingredient.

Not a Denver fan dude. Could care less about Denver.

  17. FOXBOROUGH, Mass. — New England Patriots starting defensive end Rob Ninkovich will serve a four-game suspension to open the 2016 regular season after a positive test for a banned substance.

So what is he? either a junkie or a cheater.

What Bronco got suspended for PED use? You Pats fans always say Von is a PED abuser.
He also got suspended for substance abuse. Too inconvenient for you to get the facts straight because it doesn’t fit your narrative.

Not a FACT. They did not LIE about it. They fully cooperated with the investigation. They also did not spend any more money than any other team. They deferred salary to players and used the cash to fund the stadium. Per the NFL – no competitive advantage was gained.
For a fan base that wants EVERYBODY to look at the FACTS about “Deflategate”, they will hypocritically ignore the facts in any other so called “cheating scandal”. They will come on this site and say over and again that the Broncos cheated when they know that there was no competitive advantage gained. It comes down to them being p.o.’ed that TB12 can’t win a playoff game in Denver!

that’s like saying hiLIARy only deleted a few emails, and that was by accident…..

nice try though – and i really like the use of the “word” haters.. lets everyone know your at least in the 7th grade.

btw – your donkeys cheat and everyone knows it. you will get no respect from anyone, which is what you really want in life. too bad. ***Hee Haw!

  24. Sadly i know how the Patriots feel. When you are Superbowl Champions, & fans from other teams realize that their team cannot beat them..they just attribute it to cheating & begin to put asterisks by your teams name & such, like a couple posters above. Oh well, maybe they will know how it feels one day…wait…… nevermind, as long as John Elway is in charge & newly discovered Trevor Siemian is lighting up the scoreboard…they may never know.
