A short touchdown run by Melvin Gordon extended the Chargers’ lead over the Saints to 24-14 late in the first half.
That’s five touchdowns this season for Gordon, a 2015 first-round pick who didn’t score a single touchdown as a rookie.
Gordon is also the only player in the NFL to have a rushing touchdown in each of his team’s first four games this season.
The Chargers got the last 10 points of the first half after Craig Mager intercepted a tipped pass, leading to a Josh Lambo field goal, and the Chargers drove 47 yards in 11 plays before Gordon’s touchdown.
