The Bills and Patriots are getting started early on Sunday.
Via multiple reports, Patriots receivers and Bills defensive backs engaged in a pregame scuffle. Ben Volin of the Boston Globe says Pats wideout Malcolm Mitchell “and a few coaches” were scuffling with Bills players near the New England sideline.
Here’s some video of the incident. Bills safety Robert Blanton gave Pats quarterback Jacoby Brissett a shove, and receiver Malcolm Mitchell intervened, trading shoves with Blanton.
Any pregame unsportsmanlike conduct fouls would count toward the two-per-player limit, so it makes sense to watch how this one gets resolved.
It also makes even more sense to watch the game between Buffalo and New England, the last one the home team will play without Tom Brady.
