Giants tight end Larry Donnell was evaluated by trainers on the sideline early in the second quarter of Monday night’s game at Minnesota.

Shortly thereafter, the Giants announced that Donnell had suffered a concussion and is out for the rest of the game.

Donnell was on the wrong end of a big collision with Vikings linebacker Anthony Barr. Donnell stayed in for pass protection and stepped up to block Barr, but Barr basically ran through him.

Points are going to be tough to come by in this one. The Vikings lead, 7-0, and the Giants have punted on each of their first four possessions.
