Redskins cornerback Josh Norman celebrated his diving interception against the Browns last Sunday by shooting an imaginary bow and arrow.

The NFL’s No Fun Police are against such celebrations, and Norman said Wednesday that he will appeal the $10,000 fine he received.

Norman was penalized 15 yards for the celebration.

It’s the second consecutive week Norman has had to deal with the league’s discipline and fine system. He was fined $48,620 for a hit on New York Giants receiver Sterling Shepard in Week 3, a play for which he was also flagged.

Norman said he’d been previously warned about the bow and arrow celebration, which may make it difficult to win his appeal. In the meantime, he will just sort of sip his tea and wait.

“I have my speech on it and we’ll see what happens,” Norman said, per ESPN.com. “I hope and pray they eliminate the $10,000 fine. That was too much. At the same time we’ll see how it goes and whatever the outcome is, I respect it and I respect the league and what they’re trying to do.

“It’s hard but it’s fair. It’s one of those things when you’re the hunted you have to continue to rise above it all.”
