Vikings tight end Kyle Rudolph sat out Wednesday’s practice with what the team listed as clavicle and rib injuries.

Rudolph declined to discuss his injuries with reporters on Wednesday.

The Vikings may need to pursue outside options at tight end ahead of Sunday’s game vs. the Texans. Tight ends Rhett Ellison and David Morgan also sat out Wednesday with knee injuries, and the team signed tight end Brian Leonhardt to the practice squad.

Rudolph has caught a touchdown pass in each of the last three games and has quickly become a favorite target of new Vikings quarterback Sam Bradford.

Vikings wide receiver Stefon Diggs (groin) and offensive lineman Andre Smith (triceps) also sat out Wednesday.
