Thursday night’s Cardinals-49ers game is off to an ugly start.
The teams have traded punts throughout the first quarter. Quarterbacks Drew Stanton and Blaine Gabbert are a combined 3-of-12 passing through the first 13 minutes.
Both running backs, David Johnson of the Cardinals and Carlos Hyde of the 49ers, have had some success, but both teams are playing solid defense and both quarterbacks have been bad.
Johnson has 58 yards on nine carries but all three Cardinals possessions have ended in punts.
