Falcons rookie linebacker Deion Jones had an eventful first four games in the NFL.

The New Orleans native returned an interception for a touchdown at the Superdome in a Monday night win over the Saints, was honored as the NFL’s top defensive rookie for September and delivered the hit that left Panthers quarterback Cam Newton with a concussion last Sunday. Newton may miss Week Five as a result, something he would have in common with Jones.

Jones has been ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Broncos due to an ankle injury. Jones’ backup at middle linebacker Paul Worrilow has also been ruled out, which leaves LaRoy Reynolds to both start at middle linebacker and wear the radio helmet for the Atlanta defense.

De’Vondre Campbell rounds out the Falcons’ trio of linebackers who won’t play this Sunday. It’s the fourth straight game that Campbell will miss with an ankle injury. The Falcons also lost Sean Weatherspoon to a torn Achilles last weekend and added veteran A.J. Hawk to the linebacker mix this week.
