Ravens receiver Steve Smith left Sunday’s game against Washington with a sprained ankle.

Per a source with knowledge of the situation, Smith currently isn’t expected to miss any time. However, Smith did miss the rest of the game. He was lobbying to return, to no avail.

The Ravens play in back-to-back weeks at MetLife Stadium, against the Giants and then against the Jets before the team’s annual bye.

Smith tore an Achilles tendon last season, in what was supposed to be his final NFL campaign. He eventually decided to return for one more year.

He has 27 catches for 310 yards this season. He’s 12 catches shy of 1,000 for his career.
