Giants offensive tackle Ereck Flowers has apologized for shoving ESPN reporter Jordan Ranaan after Sunday night’s game in Green Bay.

Giants Coach Ben McAdoo shared that news with reporters Monday but wouldn’t discuss any potential discipline for the incident, saying that will be handled internally.

“I talked to Ereck, [Giants general manager] Jerry [Reese] talked to Ereck, and [the team’s public relations staff] talked to Ereck,” McAdoo said. “We had a chance to sit him down. He called and spoke to Jordan and apologized. He understands that he cannot behave that way.

“It’s unacceptable. It’s important for us all to have a professional relationship with the media, players and coaches.”

Flowers lost his cool after struggling in the Giants’ loss to the Packers. McAdoo said he believes it was “an isolated incident” but said there are “no excuses” for Flowers’ behavior.
