Giants cornerbacks Eli Apple and Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie have been dealing with injuries for the last few weeks, but both were able to play against the Packers last Sunday night.

Neither one made it through the entire game, however. Apple only played seven snaps before leaving with a groin injury while Rodgers-Cromartie was in and out of the game over the course of the evening due to a groin issue of his own.

It’s not clear whether either player will be back for Week Six and the Giants are reportedly bringing in some veteran insurance in the event they can’t go. Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com reports that the Giants are signing former Ram Coty Sensabaugh on Tuesday.

Sensabaugh signed a three-year, $14 million deal with $4.5 million guaranteed with the Rams as a free agent after they saw Janoris Jenkins leave the team to sign with the Giants. Sensabaugh started two of the first three games of the season, but was dropped from the lineup entirely in Week Four and released last week. Adam Caplan of ESPN reports his deal did not include offset language, so he’ll get that money from the Rams in addition to whatever he makes with the Giants.
