The Cowboys got wide receiver Dez Bryant back on the practice field Wednesday.

Bryant has not participated in practices over the last two weeks after suffering a hairline fracture in his knee during the team’s Week Three victory over the Bears. He’s done rehab work on the side over that stretch, but Todd Archer of ESPN.com reports that Bryant “went through stretching, pat and go as well as on-air plays” during the period of practice open to the media.

Archer adds that Bryant “didn’t look to be laboring” while running routes. Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said Tuesday that Bryant experienced “some sensitivity” in his knee while running last week, which led the team to keep him out against the Bengals.

Jones said the team won’t take any chances with Bryant for this weekend’s game in Green Bay and the Cowboys have a bye in Week Seven that could be used to give Bryant even more distance from his injury before he returns to a full workload. Or it could be used to give him ample rest after a return to the field to help the Cowboys try to boost their record to 5-1 in Week Six.
