Ravens linebacker Elvis Dumervil made his 2016 debut a couple of weeks ago after recovering from offseason foot surgery, but he didn’t look like his old self on the field and the team will be without him indefinitely as they try to get him back to 100 percent.

Dumervil didn’t practice at all this week and is the only player the team has ruled out for this weekend’s game against the Giants. Head coach John Harbaugh said it was a “strength issue” and that Dumervil is missing “explosiveness” as a result of the injury.
“It’s a concern,” Harbaugh said at his Friday press conference. “I thought he’d be back at the beginning of the season. I’ve not been told he’s out for the year or anything like that. If he had been, he’d be on I.R. Definitely hoping to get him back sooner rather than later.”

The Ravens didn’t rule anyone else out, but they have listed five players as doubtful for this weekend. Wide receiver Steve Smith, linebacker C.J. Mosley, left tackle Ronnie Stanley, right guard Marshal Yanda and kick returner Devin Hester are all unlikely to play this weekend, although it looks more hopeful for right tackle Rick Wagner after he returned to practice on Friday.
