The Patriots will be missing a starting linebacker for Sunday’s game against the Bengals.
Jamie Collins is on the list of inactive players after drawing a questionable tag on Friday’s injury report. Collins hurt his hip on Thursday, leading to limited practices the last two days of the week and a day off on Sunday.
Elandon Roberts and Barkevious Mingo are options to see more time at linebacker with Shea McClellin also inactive and Jonathan Freeny hitting injured reserve on Saturday.
The Patriots also made rookie cornerback Cyrus Jones inactive. There were no health concerns with Jones during the week, but he was ejected from last Sunday’s game against the Browns.
Justin Coleman is also inactive, which leaves Eric Rowe and Jonathan Jones in position to see time at corner this week.
