The Buccaneers got some new faces on offense when they returned to the practice field Monday.

The team announced that wide receiver Louis Murphy has opened his 21-day window to practice in hopes of being activated from the physically unable to perform list.

Murphy has been out since suffering a knee injury last October against Washington, and hasn’t practiced in nearly a year. The veteran wideout can be activated any time in the next three weeks, or moved to injured reserve if he isn’t.

The Buccaneers also swapped out running backs, cutting Russell Hansbrough and signing veteran Antone Smith, who spent five years with the Bears last season, and was with coach Dirk Koetter in Atlanta from 2012-14.

They also signed four new guys to their practice squad: Wide receivers Donteea Dye and Freddie Martino, safety Trae Elston and tight end Tevin Westbrook. The 6-2, 200-pound wideout first signed with the Buccaneers in 2014.
