Jets struggling to create offense, still hanging around

Jets quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick just hasn’t been good enough. With his backup “getting antsy,” Jets coach Todd Bowles has a decision to make.

The Cardinals hold a 14-3 halftime lead. Fitzpatrick is 9-of-19 for 108 yards, and Brandon Marshall has 70 of those yards on three catches. The Jets are going to need to finish drives and make big plays to keep up.

Cardinals running back David Johnson has 69 rushing yards and two touchdowns. He had a 58-yard scoring run on the first play of the Cardinals’ second possession, then a 2-yarder to cap an 11-play, 75-yard drive in the second quarter. Johnson is the first player with two or more rushing touchdowns vs. the Jets since Jacquizz Rodgers had two for the Falcons on Oct. 7, 2013.

Cardinals quarterback Carson Palmer is 13-of-21 for 111 yards at halftime.

Jets right tackle Brent Qvale suffered a stinger and is questionable to return.
