Colts tight end Dwayne Allen has a sprained ankle and will miss some time, NFL Network reported Monday.

Allen had an MRI Monday after leaving early in Sunday’s loss to the Texans due to the injury.

Both Erik Swoope and Jack Doyle saw extra reps vs. the Texans with Allen injured, and that should continue with Allen out.

The Colts signed Allen, 26, to a new contract in the offseason. He has 18 catches for 192 yards and two touchdowns this season and has 15 touchdown catches in his five-year career.
