Cardinals fear Jaron Brown suffered torn ACL

The Cardinals came out of last night’s game without a win or a loss, at least on the score sheet.

But they’re now down another receiver.

According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, initial tests showed that wide receiver Jaron Brown suffered a torn ACL last night.

He’s having more tests to confirm the severity today (presumably an MRI).

Brown left last night’s game in the first half, and didn’t return. They were already playing without John Brown (hamstrings, sickle cell trait), leaving them thin at receiver.

Now they’ll need J.J. Nelson to step into a more prominent role, as they prepare for a game against the Panthers (who are actually getting healthier in the secondary at the moment).

  1. A tough break, hopefully not a complete tear.

JJ will have to step up and the OL will need to be at its best next week – they are going to need to give that statue time to survey the field so he can pass accurately and effectively.

That “STATUE” had more rushing yards than Russell Wilson. Out passed him, too.

    Just saying……..

Wow, a supposedly healthy QB had more rushing yards than Russell with bad ankle on one leg and bad knee on the other.

    Who would have thought?

How does this happen? We get a Coach a team and end up losing to injury year after year??

You don’t lose every year because you get injuries. You lose because you’re not good enough.

Seahawks will have NFC West wrapped up by Thanksgiving

  5. Jaron Brown (13) – Clemson was hurt the previous week on Monday Night Football when he had to go up for a deflected pass from backup QB Drew Stanton in the 4th quarter against the Jets. He came down weird. I thought he tore it then. He must have tried to play in pain on Sunday Nite against the Seahawks.

  6. I never root for injuries, but this would definitely make life easier for our troubled secondary. McClain and Tampa reject Johnson are probably our best DBs at the moment. Let them double Fitzgerald and put all of the front 7 in the box to stop David Johnson and hopefully get some pressure. If we get pressure like we did in the NFCCG, we will have a good day. If not, Johnson probably rushes for 300 yards and somebody wins 10-9.
