Eagles wide receiver Josh Huff did not have a permit for a handgun he was carrying and also had a small amount of marijuana when he was pulled over and charged with DUI Tuesday.

Huff was on the Walt Whitman Bridge from Philadelphia to New Jersey around 11 a.m. Tuesday when he was stopped for speeding. He was also charged with unlawful possession of a weapon and for carrying prohibited weapons for the 9mm handgun and six hollow-point bullets he was carrying. He was also issued summons for the marijuana and tinted windows.

Huff is due in court on Nov. 15

The Eagles released a statement Tuesday afternoon on the matter, saying they were aware of an incident and were “gathering more information.”

Last week, Huff was named NFC Special Teams Player of the Week after returning a kickoff for a touchdown against the Vikings.

A third-round pick in 2014, Huff has played in all seven games and made two starts for the Eagles this season. He caught one pass for nine yards in last Sunday’s overtime loss at Dallas. For the season, he has 13 catches for 72 yards and a touchdown.
