I’ve never been a fan of the term “minor medical procedure” because the only truly minor medical procedure is no medical procedure. But that’s the label the Vikings have applied to coach Mike Zimmer, who had said minor procedure on Tuesday morning.
Via the Associated Press, the procedure prompted the cancellation of Zimmer’s day-after-game media availability. However, Zimmer will be available on Wednesday for his usual midweek press conference.
Further details aren’t available. Zimmer surely will be asked about it on Wednesday. Whether he chooses to address it will be his prerogative.
The 5-2 Vikings host the 4-4 Lions on Sunday.
