The Falcons have ruled out three players for Thursday night’s game against the Buccaneers.
The team announced on Wednesday that defensive end Dwight Freeney, tight end Jacob Tamme and running back Tevin Coleman will miss the game. None is a particularly surprising development as Coleman didn’t play last weekend because of a hamstring injury and the other two left the win over the Packers with injuries.
Freeney actually came into the Green Bay game with a quad injury and had to leave the game as it unfolded. He hasn’t practiced this week and will have to shoot for the Week 10 game against the Eagles. Tamme left the Packers game with a shoulder injury and has also been out of practice this week.
Wide receiver Julio Jones has been limited this week with a knee issue, but says he has “no concerns” about his status for this week.
