Jets visit with six players

NFL teams can either try out or visit with free agents. Usually, when more than one or two players show up on the same day, it’s for a tryout. Rarely is there a mass visit.

The Jets had a mass visit on Friday.

Per a source with knowledge of the situation, six players visited with the team: tight end Kyle Carter, defensive back Winston Guy, running back Stephen Houston, tight end M.J. McFarland, quarterback Joel Stave, and defensive back Ronald Zamort.

It’s possible that the players were indeed worked out, and that the Jets simply checked the wrong box on the form.

  1. Not to worry Jets fans… including this season’s $17 million, you only owe Revis $50 million through 2019 when he’s 35.

Though I would think they’ll take the $6 million cap hit and cut him before next season.

That would mean they’ll have paid Revis roughly $40 million for 2 seasons of work

Although that would be horrible for most NFL teams, for the Jets that’s probably one of their best contracts.

You know you’re just still pissed that he told BB No and said Brady was a cheater,

I’d be a lot more pissed if my team hadn’t won a Super Bowl since the year man first landed on the moon. Your jealousy is duly noted.

Do you actually believe that? Revis knew what he was doing with the Pats. He needed a ring. He got one. Revis retires within 2 years.

  4. revis is pretty dumb to believe goodell

when the pats and the courts exposed goodell, revis and every other arrogant moron who believed goodell, had egg all over their faces.

the fact bb had the 2nd year on revis’s deal to drive price on the jets since the deal was not guaranteed?

    priceless

  5. Revis was aging gracefully until his last concussion v the Texans last year(WEEK 11). It was barely a hard contact and he missed two weeks. Never a good sign. Revis is banged up from ACL, torn ligs in wrist, multiple concussions which has been proven to affect ocular function and reaction times in a study of MMA fighters. There is a reason why a guy goes from allowing a 47% comp rate last year to +80% this year. Its not just age. So making cap space jokes about a guy with obvious health issues and who is the same guy who got your team over the hump is pretty pathetic. I’m sure the Aaron Hernandez contract paid better dividends anyway. I just don’t remember people joking about that. As Tom and Bill said, we’ve moved on from it. Well good for you two there’s a dead guy or two out there with families. Glad your over it.
