The Texans on Tuesday promoted guard Josh Walker from their practice squad to the active roster.
Walker broke into the league in 2014 as an undrafted rookie with the Colts. He finished his rookie season on the practice squad with the Packers, then played in 13 games for the Packers last season at both tackle and guard.
The Packers placed him on their injured-reserve list in late August, then released him from IR. The Texans signed him to their practice squad two weeks ago.
The Texans did not play last weekend. They’re at Jacksonville on Sunday.
