Listless, uninspired Vikings in a full-blown free fall

Minnesota Vikings v Washington Redskins

The Vikings stink.

The team that ran its record to 5-0 has disappeared. After three straight losses, two of which weren’t close, Minnesota lacks energy and effort on both sides of the ball. And after little more than a quarter of sloppy, listless, and uninspired play, the Vikings trail at Washington, 14-0.

Washington has scored touchdowns on both of its possessions. The Vikings have crossed midfield once, but that’s it.

While the game is far from over, the Vikings have the demeanor of a team that hopes it will end soon, so that they can go home.

Their fans may be close to telling them to go somewhere else.
