Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans sat during the national anthem yesterday, to protest the outcome of the election — an election which he may not have bothered to participate in.

According to Greg Auman of the Tampa Bay Times, Evans posted on social media last week that he did not vote.

Teammate Louis Murphy posed the question on Instagram last Tuesday: “Who voted? Who didn’t?” and “Did you #vote?”

Evans replied from his official account the simple answer “No.”

Evans wasn’t asked yesterday when discussing his displeasure with Donald Trump whether he bothered to vote. But if he didn’t, it casts his protest in a different light, and will cause many to dismiss it entirely.
