Chiefs waive Bishop Sankey

The Chiefs waived running back Bishop Sankey on Tuesday.

Sankey had signed with the Chiefs last month as they addressed injury issues at the position. He didn’t play in a game with the Chiefs.

A second-round pick of the Titans in 2014, Sankey played in 29 games and started 12 for the Titans over two seasons but was cut last summer as new Titans general manager Jon Robinson traded for DeMarco Murray and drafted Derrick Henry in the second round last spring.

With teams around the league scrambling to find healthy running backs, Sankey could land with another team this season.
