The Colts are likely going to be without quarterback Andrew Luck on Thursday night against the Steelers and they could also be shorthanded in the secondary.
Cornerback Vontae Davis and safety Clayton Geathers were both out of practice on Tuesday. Davis has been dealing with an ankle injury and was seen in a protective boot on Monday, but was able to play the entire game against the Titans last Sunday.
Geathers reported concussion symptoms after the Titans game and has joined Luck in the concussion protocol. The short week won’t do him any favors in terms of being cleared in time to play on Thursday, so rookie T.J. Green may be pressed into a bigger role.
Cornerback Frankie Williams also didn’t practice and is listed as out for non-football reasons. Cornerback Rashaan Melvin was listed as a non-participant on Monday, but worked in full on Tuesday.
