Justin Forsett reunites with Gary Kubiak in Denver

Justin Forsett had his best NFL season in Baltimore in 2014, when Gary Kubiak was the Ravens’ offensive coordinator. Now Forsett and Kubiak are getting together again.

Forsett has been awarded to the Broncos on waivers, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN. Forsett was waived by the Lions last week.

The 31-year-old Forsett doesn’t look like he has a lot left: He averaged 3.2 yards a carry in three games with the Ravens this year, then went to Detroit, where he averaged 2.9 yards a carry in two games. But perhaps his third team will be the charm this season: In 2014, playing in Kubiak’s offense, Forsett carried 235 times for 1,266 yards and eight touchdowns, all career highs.

The Broncos will be Forsett’s seventh NFL team. He has previously played for the Colts, Seahawks, Texans, Jaguars, Ravens and Lions.

  1. Even Terrell Davis himself couldn’t run behind that Denver’s offensive line. It is bad. It was bad last year too and miraculously they won the SB. It says a lot about the adjustments Manning was able to make at the line in order to run the football. Good luck Justin, you’re going to need it.

    Have ya seen Denver’s schedule the rest of the way?
    • Tennessee @ Tennessee
    • Patriots @ Denver
    • KC @ KC
    • Oakland @ Denver

    SHEESH!

    ==========
    • Tennessee @ Tennessee — will overlook the titans and lose badly. especially if lynch plays and only manages another 100 yard game

    • Patriots @ Denver — donks talk all kinds of trash, then get their butts kicked!

    • KC @ KC – will be humbled a bit by then. starting the stages of mourning. Shock will be setting in as they lose again, really really badly

    • Oakland @ Denver – false hope and denial will have set in, second stage of mourning. Raiders will push them back to stage one as they completely blow them out.

    For the record, I hope they win at least two of these games but still miss the playoffs. That way elway will have to move up in the draft so he can once again whiff on whatever average to crap player he is targeting.. (lynch, ray, roby – all avg to bad players.)

  4. The better question…Is 10-6 or even 9-7 good enough to get them a WC?
    Nothing short of a Mile High Miracle will give them the division crown.
