Chiefs expect full practice for Jeremy Maclin Tuesday

The Chiefs only have one full practice this week before they take on the Raiders in a home game on Thursday night and the word from Kansas City is that wide receiver Jeremy Maclin will be a full participant in it.

Coach Andy Reid broke the news when he met with the media on Tuesday and it represents a major step up for Maclin. The wideout has missed four straight games because of a groin injury and practiced on a limited basis last week before being ruled out for the team’s game against the Falcons.

The Chiefs were able to win three of the four games they’ve played without Maclin, but having him back in action would be a boost for their offense in a game that would give them a season sweep over Oakland with a win. It would also give them a tiebreaker advantage should the teams wind up with the same record at the end of the year.

Kansas City doesn’t have any other major injury concerns heading into the game as everyone on the 53-man roster is expected to practice on Tuesday.

How rare is that for a December game?

  2. The Chiefs are at full health for the last quarter of the season and they are on fire after these last two weeks. Nobody wants to play them right now and definitely not in KC. Let’s see how far they can take this momentum.

  3. Chiefs just beat the falcons and the raiders are a poor mans version of them. Decent offense but horrible defense, they remind me of the 2004 Chiefs but without the running game or TE.

Khalil Mack is a lesser version of Dee Ford but costs more money and neither are in Justin Houston’s realm. Chiefs are due a blowout victory and it wouldn’t be better than if it came on raidet week.

I see I have a follower, I’ve finally made it.

Rumor has it McKenzie tried to trade Carr, Cooper, and Mack straight up for Ford, but Dorsey just laughed and hung up on him. Ford is just that good.

  5. I’m not sure you want to make comments about how horrible the Falcons or Raider defense is. The Chiefs hung 20 offensive points on a “horrible” defense….woohoo.

  6. Kansas City doesn’t have any other major injury concerns heading into the game as everyone on the 53-man roster is expected to practice on Tuesday.

Technically true but why manipulate the facts?

Their starting DEs are both on injured reserve. Jaye Howard & Allen Bailey, so let’s not pretend they have no injuries.
