Lions bring back Joique Bell

The injury-plagued Lions are bringing back a familiar face.

Joique Bell, a running back who played for the Lions for the last five years, has re-signed with the team today.

Bell will provide some depth at running back after Dwayne Washington got hurt against the Saints on Sunday. Bell knows the Lions’ offense and had 311 rushing yards and 286 receiving yards for the Lions last season. Bell briefly played for the Bears this season but was released after having just three carries for six yards.

The Lions also placed defensive end Armonty Bryant on injured reserve with a knee injury.

  1. Keep rolling with re-treads instead of bringing in talent… sigh… I understand he probably has a decent understanding of the offense and could be effective sooner, but they need a guy that can be a between the tackles runner, and Bell was already beat out by the guys the Lions had out there.

I would have rather they played Mike James… see what he has.

  2. Bears sign CB banks after Lions cut him. Lions sign Bell after Bears used him for a few weeks. Both teams may be playing head games trying to get a little intel for the game this week.

  3. Bears will sweep the Lions with Barkley leading that 3rd and 4th string squad to victory.

    Packers will win.

    Vikings will win

    Reality returns to the NFCN.

This is just a dream, just like every positive season for the Lions, which there has been only three (3) in the past 60 years (with only one (1) playoff win.)

Kaepernick is a better QB than Stafford and it’s not even close.

I want what he’s having, that must be some strong stuff.

  5. Joique is a fan favorite in Detroit so he’ll be welcomed back. But the fact that we’re playing the Bears this weekend, and Joique was just playing for the Bears, certainly doesn’t hurt.

Going by the stats, New Orleans should have clobbered us. Instead it was the other way around. Likewise the stats show the Bears having a stronger team offense and defense. But this isn’t the same old Lions and it’s not the same team the Bears faced back in week 4. I think Detroit wins this game and I think we’ll have more TDs than FGs.

    Should be a good game.
