Rams to wear old-school white horns on Thursday night

Here’s a nice distraction for all the dysfunction coming from Rams Jr. High: On Thursday night, they’ll look good while being blown off the field in Seattle.

The Rams are peeling the gold horn decals off their blue helmets and attaching white ones as part of the Color Rush promotion. The white horns will match the white shirts and white pants that will be worn as they face the Seahawks and their over-the-top toxic electric lime green uniforms.

At least something from the visiting team will look good on Thursday night. With Jeff Fisher fired as head coach and special-teams coordinator John Fassel installed as interim head coach with three days to go until the next game, it could get even uglier for a Rams team that can’t get to the end zone and can’t keep the other team out of it.

Given that the Rams have performed well in the recent past against the Seahawks, why not give Fisher one more game and then fire him on Friday if they struggle again? While a loss under Fisher was nevertheless likely, a loss under the current circumstances seems inevitable.

  1. Regarding you question of why not wait until after this game to fire Fisher, I believe the Rams didn’t want him to take sole possession of the losingest coach record on their watch, they didn’t want their name to stand out in the record books next to his.

  2. The ” color rush” uniforms are just stupid. Sorry. Most of us fans hate it. It’s just ONE MORE way for the NFL to try to change something that’s not broken. Hint Roger, we hate games out of the country let alone try to get a franchise there..We hate the refs because they are inconsistent. We hate the No Fun League. Basically Roger you did the unthinkable..You are ruining the NFL slowly..Get rid of Color Rush and overseas games

  3. way past time for this rams other throwbacks are ugly as hell . I think they should go back to the blue & whites full time. the only real question is if roman gabriel would be a better option at qb then the current qb?

  4. They need to scrap the Saint Louis Rams look with the gold anyway.(Too much like Colorado State) Go back to the yellow or white.

Good point – the Rams have won three straight against Seattle. However, if they were going to fire him anyway, it would be seemingly more difficult after he just led his team to a road victory over the #2 seed in the NFC.
