Arthur Jones is done with a third consecutive injury-plagued season in Indianapolis.
The Colts announced that Jones, who signed a five-year, $30 million contract in 2014, is out for the season with a hamstring injury. Jones has played in just 17 games for the Colts in his three seasons in Indianapolis, missing 27 games with injuries and four because of a performance-enhancing drug suspension.
Given his level of production and his $6.25 million salary in 2017, there’s a good chance Jones will be cut by the Colts this offseason.
It hasn’t been a great year for the Jones family. Jones is the older brother of Chandler Jones, who was traded from the Patriots to the Cardinals this year, and of Jon Jones, a former UFC champion who was suspended by the UFC for failing a PED test this year.
