The Panthers are off to a hot start and hold a 13-3 lead over the Redskins early in the second quarter Monday night.

Cam Newton hit Ted Ginn on a 30-yard touchdown pass down the middle as the Redskins blew a coverage and simply didn’t cover Ginn. An interception by Kurt Coleman after Ginn’s touchdown set the Panthers up again inside the Redskins’ 25-yard line.

The Redskins got a big stop from there, but Graham Gano’s second field goal of the night made it 13-3.

Coleman has six career interceptions vs. the Redskins. Ginn has now scored a touchdown in four of the last five games.

The Redskins are playing to keep their playoff hopes alive, but they’re going to have to play better to keep pace.

  1. I think Newton was looking to get lifted early in this one but the coach said ,,,,,,Your gonna learn today !!!

  2. I guarantee that Cam Newton finishes something in the arena of 19/37 181 yards 1 td 1 int 1 rushing td 4 rushes for 43 yards— and somewhere Bill Walsh’s illuminati clone is is telling a bartender in a small taiwanese town about how you only win superbowls with a quarterback who is a great dancer.. The bartender is ready to shut him down. No one will listen to him. He goes back to his shack and watches clips of 94 Aikman 200 jet dragon lion out of dbl wing rt (ze). You only know that play if you have mastered the west coast.

  3. Hey Cam, you think you wear enough pads, and gear for protection, you look like the Michellin man out there!
