Goodell reportedly miffed at Matt Patricia T-shirt

Getty Images

Roger Goodell is now fully aware of Barstool Sports.

If the Commissioner truly didn’t know about the media outlet that had been denied Super Bowl-week credentials when he claimed ignorance during his pre-Super Bowl press conference, he currently does. Thanks in part to defensive coordinator Matt Patricia.

Patricia emerged from the team plane upon its return to Boston wearing the distinctive turquoise T-shirt bearing an image of Goodell sporting a clown nose. Goodell, to no surprise, was reportedly upset with the gesture.

An unnamed ownership source told Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports that “[t]he T-shirt really bothered [Goodell].” The failure of owner Robert Kraft to keep Patricia from wearing the T-shirt “ticked some people off” in the league office.

While that may have been the immediate reaction, a high-level league-office executive took a page from the Bill Belichick playbook late Friday afternoon, telling PFT that the NFL is “on to 2017.”

That very well may be the case. Given, however, the league’s selective and inconsistent application of rules in the past (as to the Patriots in #DeflateGate, the Saints in the bounty scandal, the Chiefs a year ago with the tampering rules, Dallas/Washington in 2012 with salary-cap violations from the uncapped year, and others), the question moving forward is whether the powers-that-be at 345 Park Avenue will be looking for ways to ding the Patriots generally or Patricia specifically in retaliation for the periodic detours from the high road that occurred in the aftermath of the ultimate revenge for #DeflateGate.

It’s human nature to hold a grudge. The Patriots and their fans clearly held a grudge against the league office. Now, the league office may be holding a grudge about the grudge being held against it.

At some point, however, the NFL needs to privately perform some objective self-awareness and realize that the league botched #DeflateGate badly, from the moment the gauges were inserted into the footballs through the implementation of Tom Brady’s suspension. Otherwise, the cycle will continue — and the there will be more clown-nose T-shirts and more awkward moments and more ugliness that will make pro football more like pro wrestling.

  1. Deflate Gate was about the Patriots not cooperating, and about Brady destroying evidence.
Deflating the footballs was a minor, but given how the Patriots were repeat offenders and didn’t cooperate, Goodell punished them more severely. The NFL is a private entity, not a court of law, and the commissioner has more power.

Should Goodell have done a better job – absolutely. But there was evidence of all this. Patricia and the Patriots are playing with fire. If something small happens in the future, Goodell has the power to severely punish them.

  2. When the owners remove Goodell and his New York Jets personnel from the Park Avenue offices we’ll move on. It’s not over because the NFL says it’s over.

  3. Maybe if Goodell hadn’t told all those lies, denied science and spent millions framing Brady people might have a higher opinion of him.

Personally I think clown is far too kind a description of him. What a vile little worm of a man.

  4. The investigation us one thing but the league really showed its agenda with all the leaks, including the leaks of Brady’s emails about Manning and the pool cover. Beady had no choice at that point nut to destroy his phonr.

  5. I feel he felt NO guilt about what he did he would not have any reason to be miffed
But it’s obvious he knows he was wrong

And how can you be a repeat offender if you were never guilty?

Two morons in NY ruled he could do whatever he wants
    Your team is next

    Patriots
    Chiefs
    Cowboys
    Saints
    Redskins

    And on and on

  6. One commissioner miffed at a T-shirt. Millions of fans, and hundreds of NFL players miffed at the commissioner. An interesting conundrum…..

Roger, you were booed mercilessly (& very appropriately) at the Super Bowl. You are despised and you really need to S T F U and quietly go about your business (including getting paid (aka stealing the fans money) to the tune of $40 million per year.

Your career as commissioner is coming to a close, and there will be no contract renewal in 2018. Do let the door hit you on the way out.

  7. Goodell, Kensil, Blandino and company didn’t “botch” FrameGate

They knowingly and deliberately framed, slandered and suspended the Greatest Player of All Time.

The proof is there for all to see if they want to look.

Every fan of fairness in sports should be outraged that the Commissioner of the NFL would attempt (but fail) to fix the outcome of a season by benching Brady when the footballs were not even deflated

Goodell and the owners are the ones who have tarnished the shield.

  8. It was very unprofessional for Patricia to do. He might be awhile getting a head coaching job, if he ever does. Obviously has no clue how to win with some class. I guess he isn’t going to the White House either, won’t be missed.

  9. I would like so see Goodell instruct the refs to start calling phantom penalties on the Pats for the rest of their existence. Just like Rozelle did to Al Davis since about 1982. Make them pay on the field.

  10. Roger Goodell has the ability to redeem himself once and for all by coming off his spin doctored position and manning up post-mortem to the way the league office botched deflategate. Just say it could have been handled better and pledge better integrity and processes in the future. Pash needs to be sacrificed in the process. No one owes Goodell his redemption, and he is a hypocrite for not taking responsibility.

  11. Deflate Gate was about the Patriots not cooperating, and about Brady destroying evidence.
Deflating the footballs was a minor…
    ————-
Clearly you weren’t paying attention and are just a headline reader. This was always about the footballs. First because somebody was messing with the kicking balls vs BAL and IND. Then, because the morons in IND and NFLHQ thought NE deflated their gameballs. However, the first turned out to be NFL gameday employees stealing the kicking balls and second couldn’t actually be proven to have happened at all. It was then that the Liars Club at NFL HQ and the Clown Prince himself, lying to every football fan, decided to repeatedly move the goalposts and, ignoring what Wells said regarding the level of cooperation he DID receive form NE, decided there was a failure to cooperate anyway.

I’m glad I could clear that up for you. It’s what I do. (You’re welcome)

  12. What’s wrong Roger, you mean you don’t like it when others try to tarnish your name? Face it, you did it to yourself. This isnt going away so it’s best you resign and avoid further embarrassment.

He already has and they already do. But that doesn’t seem like a very good solution in the interest of the game.

  14. It’s not going away for us fans until Goodell apologizes and makes it right or we have his head with Pash and the other clowns that launched this scheme.

Personally my wife and I will opt for the matching clown and Pinochio Goodell shirts. Now we really love Matt Patricia.

  15. At some point, however, the NFL needs to privately perform some objective self-awareness and realize that the league botched #DeflateGate badly, from the moment the gauges were inserted into the footballs through the implementation of Tom Brady’s suspension.

If you listened to Goodell’s press conference during media week you would know this is impossible. He lied every time he was asked about framegate. He has constructed an alternate reality that he lives in to justify his ruining the integrity of the NFL.

They will never admit the truth.

The NFL was proven to have lied in a letter to the Patriots.

Goodell was proven to have lied about Brady’s testimony.

Goodell was proven to have lied about the nature of his court victory.

The NFL admitted in court that the wells report was about 1 game and they had no evidence that anything occurred during that game.

The NFL executive lawyer edited the wells report and his notes and the original report were hidden from the public.

These are all things the NFL wants you to forget.

  16. When it’s the Patriots it’s an issue but when it’s other teams/players saying or doing something it’s barely a story.I love the jealousy of other teams and their fans because it means that they are not winning.

It was caught on tape that the patriots Ball boy took the footballs into the rest room (RAN into the rest room) to deflate them and Brady destroyed his phone.

You are a biased Patriots fan, who is unwilling to admit that the Patriots cheated (again) and for Goodell took appropriate action in punishing a repeat offender.

  18. There was no penalty for the Bears or NFL allowing a Bears Finishing What Katrina Started sign into the 2007 NFC Championship Game. Hundreds of people died in Hurricane Katrina and tens of thousands lost their homes. If there is a penalty for a Roger Goodell t-shirt, it just shows what a clown Goodell is.

The referees hate that clown as much as anyone, ever since he locked them out.

Goodell has made enemies all over the league, and is just reaping what he sowed.

If the guy was smart, he would have shown up somewhere wearing the same shirt, but he isn’t, so he didn’t.

  20. “As Patricia will soon find out if you want to act like a classless moron then you’ll get treated like one. He definitely doesn’t look like a real sharp guy and his actions confirmed that he isn’t.”

Actually he has a master’s degree in aeronautical engineering I believe, ie he is literally a rocket scientist. And a hell of a lot sharper than most people he runs into.

  21. Pats have won 4 Super Bowls with nothing but class and everyone hated them anyways. I LOVE this middle finger to the league.

The Pats could very well be back again next year, so stock up on tissues, haters. I know I will, but for an entirely different reason 🙂

  22. The Pat’s and their fans will play the victim gladly with its built in whine clauses and free cheese. Goodel will do what the owners tell him…..Kraft is on an owners island …let the paranoia begin Cheaties fans.

  23. “He definitely doesn’t look like a real sharp guy and his actions confirmed that he isn’t.”

What is hilarious is that you are talking about the only coach in pro sports who is an aerospace engineer. Good job!

He understood the science behind framegate immediately, and you STILL don’t.

  24. If the Patriots had used walkie talkies during a game it would have been front page news, just like when a fire alarm was pulled.I love how they forgot to mention how before SB 49 the alarm was pulled twice at NEs hotel.Tell me how the walkie talkies were able to communicate with the QB,I missed that part.

  25. @ j0esixpack,

Brady had the ultimate revenge by winning the Super Bowl. Admittedly, the Falcons gave the SB victory to the Pats in a gift-wrapped package, like the Seahawks did 2 years ago. Why neither team chose to pass the the ball in key situations is still baffling. Had the Falcons run it twice in a row on 2 and 11 with just under 4 mins left (& had Lynch run the ball at the GL 2 yrs ago), Brady likely would still have only 3 rings. But l digress.

With all of that said, Brady won the SB AND the SB MVP. He got his revenge. It is time to stop crying over the past. Nobody likes Goodell, and Pats fans don’t have a monopoly on despising Goodell. Stop it with the sore winner bit and move the F on.

  26. NFL-we are going to put a system in place to regulate the handling of footballs before each game….year later…NFL-It was only random games.I guess the data they collected proved themselves wrong or else they would have ran into the streets screaming “see we told you”.Its bad when you make yourself look stupid.

  27. The shirt falls under freedom of expression. Get over it, Roger. Patricia tweaked you, big deal, laugh it off. You won the important thing, you keep your authority to distribute punishment in any way you deem fit. Use it wisely and and don’t be so thin-skinned.

  28. Patricia is a helluva defense coach. LOL, lit up again.
Brady didn’t get his revenge. Goodell have it to him. It was him mea culpa to Brady and Kraft. He let them make the greatest impossible comeback in NFL history yet people still think the game wasn’t orchestrated. The Patriots were winning no matter what, just pissed that I was duped into believing the opposite.

  29. Goodell may be miffed, but has only himself to blame. He took a job and a ridiculous salary to act as the target for everyone’s ire, on behalf of the owners. It appears like he has gone rogue on a few occasions, but I would bet that there are a lot of the owners (his bosses) that are jealous of the Pats’ success and push him to go after them at every chance. As long as he keeps that silent majority happy and keeps taking the heat, so the owners can avoid looking like the bad guys, the NFL will keep him around and keep paying him a ton of money.

I find it more likely that he gets tired of the heat and quit before the owners would vote him out. At a certain point, he may decide he has made enough money that he can’t ever run out of money, so the heat will no longer be worth taking.

  30. Roger Goodell is a liar and good corporate one at that. Nobody really knows what Brady might have done, but that Wells report and legal fight was nothing short of a witch hunt sanctioned under the NFLPA Players Agreement. It doesn’t make it right. Goodell could have expected this as a result.

  31. Kraft was led to believe if he paid the big fine and gave up the draft pick that would be the end of it. He was lied to. Now Goodell expects Kraft to protect his feelings? Ha!

  32. This is a sad reflection of our world today. People love to land the first blow but run crying when the other side has the temerity to fight back.

What I would love to see is a Patriots senior employee tell Goodell. You insulted us, you made us look bad without a shred of evidence, you lied, manipulated the facts, have withheld facts that would show the truth and you expect to be well treated. You are living in dream land we will take every opportunity to do to you what you did to us so get over it. BUT.. we live in world where people say the politically correct thing, where people dont call life as it is. The world was a much better place when people spoke their mind without fear.

  33. When is the corrupt cabal that is running the league into the ground going to realize that it wasn’t JUST Pats fans who were booing him right off the stage. Joe Thomas’ comments SHOULD be a clear warning that the disgust for his lies, mistatments and totally uneven justice policies, have spread far beyond the confines of NE.

His Superbowl press conference was 45 minutes of spins and outright lies. It proved that even though the entire country realizes he botched framegate, he clearly hasn’t gotten the message…..and never will.

Don’t be surprise that when he arrives at Gillette (IF he even comes), he will be met with 68,000 clown T-shirts. The mediots who want this to go away will eventually get that it isn’t going away. Winning the superbowl doesn’t get Brady those 4 games back or the draft picks that were lost. More importantly it doesn’t wash away the pain and suffering (mild hyperbole) of the malicious and deliberate attack on the integrity on Brady, the Pats, and all of their fans for the last 2 years

  34. So far, we live in free country. It wasn’t on the field on game day. He can wear a pink jumpsuit if he wants. Not a fan of the pats but Goddell can shut his pie hole.

  35. I have watched as the Patriots players, coaches and office continued to take the high road for the last 2 years. Never once publicly take shots at the NFL offices.
They now are SB Champs and as such have the right to say whatever they want.
I have not seen or heard anything I disagree with. Goodell IS a clown and his staff ARE liers.
If some fans of the NFL are butt-hurt tough!

  36. This has continued to escalate and the owners need to step in as a group. Goodell will likely purposely antagonize the fans at the draft as he did last year, sneering at all of us and inviting the attending fans’ verbal ire. This report virtually guarantees enormous sales of the t-shirt to those attending the draft! Alienating your customers (the fans) is insanity yet the owners seem oblivious. As businessmen they will soon see (if they don’t already) that ignoring the fans will do significant damage to their finances – particularly attendance at the stadiums and collateral income. The sponsors also need to speak up – particularly if their product sales are threatened. Remember too that the NFLPA detests Goodell which has poisoned all attempts to address a myriad of game and player issues. Maybe the owners should poll their employees’ union to see the damage being done; the customers have already spoken. Since Goodell will not resign the key to defusing the situation is Jerry Jones who most owners see as the voice of commercial reason to ensure fan and player peace.

  37. The NFL is but an example of what is wrong with capitalism and has always been wrong with it.
the monied class seeks to own, control and profit off all they control…while seeking to own, control and profit off everything they can get their hands on.

That’s why checks and balances were put in place in our Constitution. The founders saw the logical extension of power. corruption. seeking to benefit itself and Eff you to everything else.

Goodell and the NFL are just examples of the corrupt ethos that guides these parasites.

  38. Should we be surprised at the conduct of the New England Cheaters?

They are cheaters – having been caught several times doing dishonest things and always walking so close to the line of propriety that they smell dishonest in the process.

Given that this team has earned two victories not by superior play but by flaws on one play by their “victims”, this team has no room for being arrogant or rubbing someone’s nose in something.

The bearded Cheater jerk should be fined – if he was not being paid and was on his own, he can wear what he wants. He’s supposedly a coach and should know better and should set an example.

This guy should be the poster child for limits of free speech when you are on the job.

    And he’s white.

  39. It would be great if the entire stadium wore the t-shirt for the first game if…………..the victims would quit whining from that point on. Everyone knows that won’t happen because the maturity level of the fan base is to low. Being a victim is a very popular excuse for all kinds of behavior in today’s PC world…pretty sad.

  40. Once again, the team/fans that claim to have the most class, exhibit the least.

    Way to rise above, chowds.

No wonder that whole franchise is wrapped up in Drumph.

Arrogant, paranoid and thin-skinned is the patriot way.

Much like our puppet president, drumph.

    Or is it, bannon?

    Carry on.

    Go Raiders

  41. Goodell and the staff of the league office would have been run out of town long ago if not for the idiots among the media and general population.

Goodall’s base of support is greedy owners and lemmings guided by emotion and denial of science.

  42. Its a bit ironic that a man that would ‘leak’ false information on ball pressure to the press, then refuse to correct it later even when asked. Who would demand email records supposedly to pursue an investigation then in a mean spirit release info from those emails unrelated to the investigation but still had some malicious gossip value. Who would tells deliberate lies about what went on in a proceeding then seal the transcript in an attempt to keep the public from learning the truth. Covers up CTE evidence leaving employees at greater risk of harm and also preventing them from getting the help they need after incurring that harm. Tries to slide a ‘cover up’ level of punishment by the public for DV but then when that blows up applies double jeopardy to the player and lies to say he did not know how bad it was at first. (Because with or without that video he knew all along what went on in that elevator). Who after that again tries to cover over another DV case because that guy kicks for his team. Who when he gets a report on HGH use that covers several players (even if ridiculous) seperates out one player he likes tomediately
declare them clean while looking in to the others to see if he csn get anything. And these are all just highlights, i could go on but this post is getting long. For a man that does all these things to then be upset that someone wore a tshirt that raised a negative point about him (that was more based in fact than many things he did) is rather laughable.

This just isn’t true. He was in the bathroom for 90 seconds- impossible to deflate balls in that time frame. He was told by the ref to not let the balls out of his sight. He carried the balls to the bathroom through a room filled with all of the refs and NFL front office people who were watching the end of the Green Bay game.

It was the Patriots who found this out and gave the NFL the video of him carrying the balls- that’s an important detail.

Both equipment people were allowed to be reinstated by the NFL.

Whatever you think of Deflategate, one thing is true- Since that game and it subsequent 2 seasons after; the Patriots have won more games than any other teams, won 2 Superbowls, and Brady has won 2 Superbowl MVP trophy’s.

Even if you believe in Brady’s guilt, that does make Deflategate the most irrelevant ever.

    —–

You certainly are quite the good sport.

  45. Anyone else tired of hearing about Tom Brady, the Pats and deflate? I mean, your a dang good team that just won a fifth Superbowl, thats not good enough? Goodell is an employee of 32 owners that tell him what to do and say, they pay him $45 million a year to do so. If you have an issue with him talk to the 32 owners, he is their puppet. I was living in Boston during the Bledsoe/Brady/tuck Rule era and let me tell you, no one cared for the Pats untill they won. Never seen such a n amazing show of bandwagons before or since, New Englanders true sports fans is such a joke. Cold fridge attitudes, angry for no reason and hate all the other states. Had a great year in Boston but was so happy to be out of there, bad attitudes, bandwagon a-hole fans, an horrendous weather.

  46. Most fans and many in the media don’t understand all the reasons Goodell has been getting paid an average of roughly 40 million dollars in recent years. In addition to real Commissioner duties, he is paid to lie for the owners. He is paid to create false narratives. He is paid to have a press conference where he proclaims that the sky is green, and everyone else is wrong to say the sky is blue, if the sky being green benefits of the league. He is paid to take the hits and the criticism of each sh–show problem the league creates. So, while people think he is delusional, he is far from it. He is getting paid tens of millions of dollars and should shut up and take it. If he truly is offended by this, or owners are upset by a t-shirt, my message is “Suck it up, buttercups.” The league created the monster, stop bitching about being offended, when you are guilty as charged. Push the issue and just go ahead and see what new problems it creates. Then again, that might just be the point, to create controversy, to keep people talking, because the NFL has copied the WWE, Vince McMahon marketing strategy in recent years.

  47. If Goodell is so thin-skinned that something like this bothers him, he needs to resign asap and go apprentice with Donald Trump, where the two of them could Tweet their asses off like adolescent schoolboys, and attack (on Twitter of course) everyone who doesn’t agree with them.

  48. Everyone who is intelligent enough to understand 7th grade science is still miffed about the following:

    • Tom Brady was forced to miss 25% of the 2016 season because of what the weather did.
    • NFL tried to fix 4 of the Patriots games. (successfully fixed one game).
    • NFL rigged the 2016 draft (see Patriots stolen 1st round draft pick)
    • Patriots were fined 1 million dollars under false pretenses.
    • NFL plans on rigging the 2017 draft (see Patriots stolen 4th round draft pick)

  49. If only the NFL had told the truth when they found out that footballs often lose PSI when used on cold days then perhaps Roger Goodell could have avoided being made fun of.

Football fans are still waiting for the NFL to announce the results of the PSI study that was conducted during the 2015 season.

  50. Matt Patsy and the Cheats are arrogant classless losers.

Brady cheated and lied and was caught and all Kraft, his son, Brady and now Patsy spew hate, lies, deflection, and act like a bunch of whiny kids.

Neither Brady nor the Patriots fully cooperated. Why is that?

Your organization has been nothing but a bunch of arrogant cowards because you have a history of cheating like no other.

    We hate cheaters and liars.

And I’m not surprised Matt Ryan lost communication with his head set at a critical time in the 3rd quarter. Atl had to burn a TO and after scoring at will didn’t score again. It was like the Patriots knew what plays Atl was running. Since Belicheat can’t tape signals any longer he probably hacked the Atlanta headsets and listened to every play they called. No I’m not kidding.

Headset gate is the next cheating scandal the Patriots will be penalized for.

Enjoy your tainted legacy snd trophies. They will be on Google forever.

  51. Matt Patricia majored in aeronautical engineering while in college. My guess is that he is capable of understanding 7th grade science.

Those who are capable of understanding 7th grade science are also able to understand that Brady and the Patriots were cheated by Roger Goodell and the rest of the NFL.

So you can’t blame the guy for making fun of Roger Goodell. Especially after the Patriots overcame the disadvantages imposed on them by the NFL and still managed to win the Superbowl.

  52. Man oh man raider fans are one butt hurt bunch..maybe this is payback for a phantom roughing the passer call in 1976 or the intentional cheap shot by Jack they call me assassin Tatum, who until the day he died never apologized for crippling Daryl Stingley. Oh by the way the tuck rule was correct as called, the best news for Patriot fans is Del Rio was given a contract extension to coach the Oakland-Los Angeles- Las Vegas-San Antonio- San Diego- Mexico city Raiders.

Then about 50% of NFL fans that travelled there for the Superbowl experience. yet the entire crowd was booing. There was no cheering mixed in, it was everybody. That should concern him more than a single DC’s tshirt.

  56. When whichever comes first, Brady’s retirement or Goodell’s ousting, Brady will file a defamation lawsuit against Goodell. Since the NFL had zero evidence Brady did anything against the rules, it will be an indefensable open & shut case. Brady’s ultimate revenge. Hope it happens.

  61. I hate everything about the Patriots and Tom Brady as a Dolphins fan.

But I support 100% every jab they take at Goodell The Clown.

Deflategate turned into a bunch of garbage, and while I bought it at first, the NFL has done a terrible job at supporting any of their case.

Forget Goodell. The sooner he retires or resigns, the better for “The Shield”.

  62. Fooldrool,

    You are soooofunny and clever.

The Stealers cheated their way to 6 Lombardis. Everyone in the country know it.

” PITTSBURGH — A former Pittsburgh Steelers doctor who left the team after investigators questioned his bulk purchase of anabolic steroids has been indicted for illegally prescribing the muscle-building aids and other drugs”

Dude, you really ought not call any team cheats, since YOUR team is the only one I know that has had a Team Dr. brought up on FEDERAL Charges.

This really calls your intelligence level into question.

Obviously you don’t see. My comment said nothing about Patricia’s conduct. I was making the observation that most of the Pat’s fans comments that you hate result from trolls who continue to parrot lies put out by the NFL. So don’t expect Pat’s fans to stop if you want to ‘tease’ them. So who is being immature?

And what were the results of those charges…..it seems you forgot the most important part….the results. But hey, the truth means nothing to a troll when a lie is readily available. How many draft choices were the Steelers penalized…….come on Percy you can do better.

@Weak@ LSU. You didn’t go there because you are smart for sure. Guess you didn’t measure up to the tougher Northern standards….

  65. Similarly, maybe Trump should send a note to Goodell about getting his troops in line or removing NFL champions from White House ceremonies thus damaging the NFL brand.

Roger – what’s good for the goose is good for the gander!

  66. Why am I not surprised at the number of dimwitted fans that have no grasp of the duplicity Fuhrer Goodell has draped onto the league?

    sheep

  67. When NE gives the proverbial middle finger to Goodell, they are also giving to the owners who gave him his marching orders. How sweet it is!!

  68. Steeler, Seahawks, and Raider fans are the most bitter ones here. Surprising as it is usually the Fin and Jests fans making a fuss.

Nevertheless all the above organizations have been made laughing stocks by the Patriots. Can’t blame their anger. 🙂

  69. @Weak@ LSU. You didn’t go there because you are smart for sure. Guess you didn’t measure up to the tougher Northern standards….

Wow that really stings. What standards are those? Being judgmental and condescending? Isn’t it said that people resort to name calling when they’ve lost the argument?

  70. Pats fans are the ones that need to move on.

Kraft admitted guilt by accepting punishment.

Brady had multiple chances to deny it, and never once did so.

An independent scientist said the ideal gas law could not explain the extreme pressure drop.

    Bottom line:

    You’re guilty, and you’re punished.

    Now quit whining about it.

    .

  71. Awww, poor Roger is miffed. That clown has made almost 1/2 a BILLION dollars during his time as commissioner, I’m sure he’ll be alright

The Pats coaches, players, and fans are going to be quite a bit more than miffed when yet another draft pick is stolen from them in this years draft… but they’ll be alright too, in the long run. Might even hoist another Lombardi next season.

    ———————————————————
The only way the Patriots and Tom Brady didn’t cooperate was they didn’t “confess” to doing something they didn’t do. Otherwise they fully cooperated with the investigation.

  73. Roger to Stevie Biscuits: “You know, Mr. Biscotti, we really stuck it to those Krafts on the fake Deflategate thing. We really showed them who’s boss.”

Stevie Biscuits to Roger: “Yeah. But in the process you looked like a clown and TV ratings are down.”

Roger to Stevie Biscuits: “No, Mr. Biscotti, that’s not a real picture of me; it’s an old photo that has been doctored. I never actually wore a red nose like that.”

Stevie Biscuits: “Oh, well then, never mind.”

  74. its all in fun. Maybe Goodell should get his own t-shirt. A bearded fat dude with the name Patricia on it.

  75. Wow that really stings. What standards are those? Being judgmental and condescending? Isn’t it said that people resort to name calling when they’ve lost the argument?

    3 1

Isn’t also said that it is better to remain silent and appear the fool than to open ones mouth and remove all doubt. So you are defending a clown wearing a clown shirt…..explains why you went to LSU.

NFL-we are going to put a system in place to regulate the handling of footballs before each game….year later…NFL-It was only random games.I guess the data they collected proved themselves wrong or else they would have ran into the streets screaming “see we told you”.Its bad when you make yourself look stupid.

    164 1 <-

I guess Roger is reading this story and voted it down.

  77. We were deliberately and wrongfully accused, convicted and severely punished for something that never even happened and all on the epic-ally hypocritical premise of “integrity”. Our reputation and all achievements wrongfully called into question. Our future stability and potential were deeply hampered by unjust penalties and our hero’s legacy will forever be called into question by those who choose to follow a false narrative of alternative facts.

It will never be over until we get out picks back along with a public apology and written absolution for TB12 from the NFL (the owners and Roger himself).

    Period!

…I was living in Boston during the Bledsoe/Brady/tuck Rule era and let me tell you, no one cared for the Pats untill they won. Never seen such a n amazing show of bandwagons before or since, New Englanders true sports fans is such a joke. Cold fridge attitudes, angry for no reason and hate all the other states. Had a great year in Boston but was so happy to be out of there, bad attitudes, bandwagon a-hole fans, an horrendous weather…..

Don’t let the door ….. nah, jus’ nevah come back

Enjoy your tainted legacy and trophies. They will be on Google forever.

This post speaks for itself. LOL Posts like this are a testament to just how good the Patriots have been for so long.
