Ndamukong Suh has high praise for Charles Harris

Of the various rookies who have a chance to win defensive rookie of the year honors, few have a better shot than Miami Dolphins first-round pass rusher Charles Harris.

And one of the teammates whose presence will go a long way toward creating favorable matchups for Harris likes what he has seen from Harris so far.

“Charles, in my opinion, is a very focused kid,” defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh said this week, via Jason Lieser of the Palm Beach Post. “I’m very excited about his approach to the game. Very detail-oriented. Obviously takes coaching very, very well. Implements it very quickly, as you coach him up, in games.”

Harris is expected to be in the rotation at defensive end. He also could play defensive tackle when the Dolphins face passing situations.

“Obviously, he’s been running with the ones and getting a lot of play time in our package that we like [to] run, in regards to pass rush,” Suh said regarding Harris. “He’s had a lot of good things, in my opinion, but everybody’s got a lot of work to do. We’ve got a long way ahead of ourselves.”

Whatever Harris can do, it will be augmented by playing with Suh, Cameron Wake, and Andre Branch. The more attention that is paid to them, the better the chance Harris will have to create havoc.

  1. As a bills fan it pains me to say this but they were amazing last year… screwed in the playoffs and out of each loss last season. They were unbelievable and should have been super bowl champs. I won’t rest until Miami gets their rightful place in league history.
I agree completely with their fans that their achievement was unlike anything seen ever.
Jay ajayi is a super stud that rivals Jim Brown and the Juice. Perhaps the most efficient rb ever. Think about it . 1272 on 260 carries and 8!tds? Are you kidding me?
How brilliant is this….he ran for 735 of those yards in just 4 games..such a brilliant way to save himself firbthat playoff run they were screwed over by.

    Let’s go dolphins let’s go… greatest season ever !!!!

  2. I guess that means that Harris will be stomping on opposing players and drawing those ill timed 15 yarders with regularity. Oh and then he will go to another team after his rookie deal and screw up their salary cap for the next 5 years too.

  3. The Dolphins had another great/lucky Draft… three reasons: 1.) Jeff Ireland was not behind either 2.) They got the best player available and did not draft the absolute first need. 3.) Top Talent fell in the first round for odd reasons. Tunsil and Harris will be cornerstones for a long time.

Always a sore Lions Fan. Really, “screw up the Cap”. Do you think the Lions or Raiders who wanted Suh would have paid less for his services? It is a fact, the Dolphins got the price break as he wanted to be in Florida and he did not come cheap either way. BTW- you failed Accounting. The Dolphins are under the Cap by $19M and last year by $34M. I do get the “stomp on players” thing though. Still would rather have him on my team than not. He has cleaned his act up, but yeah… total douche thing to do twice and the numerous times he did not get caught.
