Tom Brady sets record for three TD, no INT games

As expected, Patriots quarterback Tom Brady rebounded from an embarrassing performance with a stellar one. It was stellar enough to set a record for stellar performances.

According to the NFL, Brady’s three-touchdown, no-interception performance gave him 52 for his career, a new record. He’d previously been tied with Peyton Manning.

Brady completed 30 of 39 passes (76.9 percent) for 447 yards in the game, a nice rebound from last week’s 16-for-36, which gave him the worst completing percentage of the weekend.

Most importantly, the Patriots avoided dropping to 0-2 for the first time since 2001, the last year Brady didn’t enter the season as the team’s starting quarterback.

  1. Clearly this has to be some kind if mistake. All we have heard all week are the trolls telling us he was done. He sure does rain on troll parades an awful lot that Brady guy, except it’s not actually rain.

  2. I never doubted the Patriots system for a second. I knew Belichick and his staff would make the necessary adjustments after week 1. 18-1 till we aren’t.

  3. Just think salty haters, not only is he still setting records, his level of play aged 40 is still much higher than other greats like Peyton (at 39) and Montana (at 38) were in their final year. Father time will win eventually, but at this rate he might indeed play until 45. Enjoy!

  6. This is another record Aaron Rodgers will eventually break.

    After today…

    Brady…..237 starts…52 (3+ TD pass, 0 int games) – 21.9% of starts
    Peyton….265 starts…51 (3+ TD pass, 0 int games) – 19.2% of starts
    Rodgers…137 starts…39 (3+ TD pass, 0 int games) – 28.5% of starts

Rodgers record when behind 3 quarters is 1-35. The guy cares too much about his TD-INT ratio to take chances to bring his team back.

He’s the stat champion that will finish with far less SuperBowl wins than his talent would have predicted.

Rodgers can catch(and probably will) on the stats but the number of championships is going to be a tall order…and I love watching Rodgers play but that offensive line is going to get him killed but not having his two starting tackles does that.

Rodgers is a great QB, a sure Hall of Famer. That doesn’t take anything away from Brady, despite your feeble attempt to put him down. Try this:

    Brady – 5 SBs
    Rodgers – 1 SB

Some perspective. Unlike the GOAT Tom Brady and the second best QB of this generation Peyton Manning… Rodgers has played his entire career in the post Polian rule changes era of the league with rules that now favor the passing game. When Matt Stafford can throw for 5000 yards in a season that tells you everything you need to know.

So while Rodgers may very well set the record… it takes a distant back seat to say, a QB that has more Super Bowl rings than any other QB that ever played this great sport.

    🙂

  11. Fans of Rodgers are always saying he’s gonna do this and he’s gonna do that. The guy can’t win a big game to save his life. Except when he lucks out with a hail mary.

So you think Rodgers will stay on that pace for another 100 games? That’s 6+ years at that level.
