Antonio Brown complains about Bruce Arians, Mike Tomlin on social media

The brouhaha between the Eagles and the White House has resulted in various other issues getting lost in the shuffle. Here’s one that didn’t get nearly as much attention as it should have received.

Via the Pittsburgh Tribune Review, Steelers receiver Antonio Brown recently used social media to take shots at former Steelers offensive coordinator Bruce Arians and current Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin.

“Bruce Arians said he’s a special team guy he caint learn the plays hots n sites,” Brown said on Instagram. “Not Smart Enough.” (“Hots” are “hot routes” that apply during a blitz, and “sites” are sight-adjusted routes based on related factors.)

As to Tomlin, Brown said, “Coach T Bench me on a bye week; said two dogs one bone. God bless em #putsomerestpectonmyname.”

It’s not the first, or the worst, social-media misadventure from Brown. Last year, he broadcast on Facebook Live from the locker room after a playoff win against the Chiefs.

Brown’s motivation for sounding off isn’t clear. He wanted a new contract, and he got one not long after the Facebook Live fiasco.

It will be interesting to hear what Tomlin has to say about Brown, and it would be very interesting to hear what Arians and Brown may have to say to each other the first time Arians, now with CBS, works a Steelers game.

“He caint learn”… Oh, the irony.

Right?? If you’re going to complain about someone being unintelligent you might want to spell can’t correctly. Haha

  2. Isn’t this the same fool who rolled into training camp last year in the back of a Rolls Royce like a scene out of Driving Miss Daisy?

Pardon me, Antonio, could you pass the grey poupon and shut your mouth?

  3. Could you imagine this guy doing this if BB was his coach?

The Steelers have loads of talent. Fortunately for the rest of the teams in the AFC they have Mike Tomlin at the helm.

  4. Typical athlete running his mouth. I love how guys who make millions of dollars complain and act they have it so bad. It’s really hard to root for guys like him.

Has there ever been such a talented team that we also feel so certain won’t make it to the Super Bowl? They always let down just when better-coached teams find another gear.

  6. He put the “D” in DIVA….and this behavior is tolerated time and time again….

  7. Players in all sports, no matter star guys or bottom of the roster guys, sometimes go out of their way to make themselves look like idiots publicly.

  8. The best part of all this is knowing that AB, Big Ben, and Tomlin are going to get together soon, have a beer, and laugh their butts off at all of the media folks running around liked crazed maniacs again. Things are just fine in the Steelers locker room. As always.

Le’Veon on the other hand… He deserves what he gets.

  9. Looks like the Steelers have some “tension” between coach and his top player. Just saying.

  10. As long as Mike Tomlin is the Steelers head coach Ben will never get another ring. I’m no friend of the Steelers but even I have to feel sorry for how incompetent that team is run when the players have such a me attitude that they have consistently fell short every year for almost a decade now. Steelers should have more than 6 rings by this point.

  11. …Shula couldn’t get it done with Marino, other than a guy named Belichick, how many active coaches have more than one (1) Super Bowl? I think Tomlin deserves credit for taking his teams to the playoffs and at least having a chance to win.

  12. It is time prima donnas like this in the NFL start being banned from the sport for unethical and unprofessional conduct – the sooner these miscreants lose their livelihood, the sooner we start getting REAL MEN who play the game.

  13. steelers had a chance to clean this *social media nonsense* up and put a stop to it in the off-season w/ bell, brown, etc. – and they didn’t do it.

look forward to a rinse/repeat of last year.

  14. Brown the Clown is always making unwanted noise. Last year, he was sulking because he couldn’t act like an idiot in the end zone. Now he’s trashing the coach and team. He should be more concerned that they can’t win a single playoff game. Maybe the Bengals will take him.
