Mitchell Trubisky is “getting better and he’s feeling better”

Bears quarterback Mitchell Trubisky resumed throwing last Friday and he threw again on the field before Sunday’s game against the Giants in what seemed like big steps toward a return to the lineup after missing the last two games with a right shoulder injury.

Trubisky was a limited participant in practice last week and not throwing was the big limitation at the first two practices, but head coach Matt Nagy wasn’t willing to say that Trubisky will be working fully this week.

“He’s getting better and he’s feeling better,” Nagy said, via the Chicago Tribune. “And so I think it’s only fair for today, tomorrow and the next couple of days to go by that. We just keep seeing him throw and we see how he feels and then he tells us. And if we feel like it’s an opportunity for him to go out there and he’s going to be good and safe and our team is good and safe with him in there, then that’s what we’ll do.”

Wednesday’s practice will bring the first chance to see if Trubisky will take the final step on the path back to the lineup in time to face the Rams in Week 14.

  1. The Bears will lose with or without him, just keep him out. Donald will rehurt his shoulder if he plays anyways.

  2. If he’s well enough to be able to throw away the ball during a blitz that my 90-year-old Dad saw coming, then he’s already better than Daniel.

  3. I can see where they didn’t want to pull an “Andrew Luck” (not Luck from this season, but the Luck that went an entire year not being able to even throw a football), so it’s good to be cautious, but it’s also going to be necessary to get the o-line fixed long-term.

  4. They got Green Bay and San Fran in there last two games.

No need to re injure him against the Rams.

It would be smart to keep him out of this game.

They will win the division anyway.

  5. The Rams they are a team hyped up by the media. they are not as good as they’re made out to be. they have not played a defense that’s anywhere near on our level. The defense we put on the field will stop the run Force Jared Goff into bad decisions and take advantage of the opportunities Our defense will give us on a consistent basis.

You mean the Bears defense that gave up 21 points in a quarter this season to the Packers and allow Brock Osweiler and the Dolphins to score 30 on them? Also the Rams are a team that beat the Seahawks twice, beat the Chiefs, and beat the Chargers but sure they’re not that good and it’s just media hype.
