  1. Fairly certain almost no one here in the Pacific Northwest expected Seattle to potentially clinch a playoff spot by this point of the season, much less make it at all. Sportball is a bizarre thing

  2. Thank you for not posting the Packers way of making it in. They’re obnoxious into thinking they still have a chance. They’ll lose on Sunday and they’re done!

  3. Cowboys have big contracts coming up and will be drafting low in the 2nd round and down.

They have NO shot at getting past the NFC Title game.

See you in the basement in 2 years…

  4. Notice not one playoff scenario showing the highlighted team losing. Right now a hundred dollar bet on a dark horse slipping in and winning out should return 20 grand minimum. Roger that.

  5. It’s funny how people on here talk about how Cowboys have to pay their players soon. They act like they other teams in the league are the only ones with this problem.

Turns out with salary cap on the rise it’s better to have to pay your players now than in the future. Contract cost are only going to continue to go up. Get you players under contract while its lower than the next year the cap increase becomes more free cap.

  6. These are the top teams with playoff implications this week.

Several other teams have scenarios where they are still mathematically in it — but need one or more things to happen this week in order for them to STAY mathematically in it. The number of teams mathematically still in could be smaller next week than it is this week — especially in the NFC.

It’d be interesting to see that chart

  7. The other playoff scenerio: Steelers will have their hats handed to them by Patriots which will be followed by something similar in New Orleans, ending with a meaningless finish vs Cincinnati. Season ends Sunday. Kieth Butler ‘relieved of his duties’ Monday.

  8. The LA Chargers must win one more game to get to 11 wins and a playoff berth. They are holding back their “hurting” players against KC as they don’t believe they can win there. This is a bad approach as it effects the teams winning attitude. They’ve been playing “just get by” football in the last two games.

Thank you for not posting the Packers way of making it in.

    +++++

The post is about teams who can do something to cement their playoff status based on the results of this weeks games only. Otherwise this waste of space would waste much more space.

  10. Wierd , I didn’t see the Eagles listed, since all their fans did was brag about being the next dynasty after being gifted the Super Bowl win. Not as easy to win with out free TD’s is it!

  11. In the next week or two the Eagles will be slipping back into oblivion. Who knows they might still be having fun. The Eagles andbtheirbfans should send that buffoon Goodell a thank you note for changing the league rules so the Eagles could win a Superbowl by utilizing two bogus TD.

  12. Houston should beat the Jets and if the Steelers find a way to beat the Patriots then the Texans will move up to #2 in AFC!

  13. Pretty unbelievable that the Seahawks are in the position that they are in. Huge Kudos to Pete and John, it appears they have done it again with late round draft picks. Flowers and Griffen will be the corners for years.

What a future for all those first and second-year players on defense and so much youth buying into the system and how they do things. Reminds me of 2012.

Meanwhile, down in Santa Clara…Richard Sherman has something negative to say…again. SMH I’m actually starting to feel sorry for that guy.he was on top of the world a couple years ago with an entire corner of the country in love with him.

Threw all that away to go sit in a Niners uniform hoping to stick it to his former team twice a year like a scorned ex.

    It’s sad really.
