Ezekiel Elliott on Dak Prescott: He played like a grown man

The Cowboys moved on to the Divisional Round of the playoffs with Saturday night’s 24-22 win over the Seahawks and quarterback Dak Prescott had a lot to do with the victory.

Prescott completed 22-of-33 passes for 226 yards and ran six times for 29 yards and a fourth quarter touchdown that extended Dallas’ lead to 10 points. Prescott also ran nine yards to put the Cowboys on the goal line and set up a touchdown by running back Ezekiel Elliott that gave Dallas the lead earlier in the fourth quarter.

After the game, Elliott, who ran for 137 yards of his own, said Prescott “played like a grown man and called the quarterback’s performance “legendary.” Prescott said he feels like “a grown-ass man just in general” as part of his response to what Elliott had to say.

“I’m in a young career. I’m three years in. For him to say that … I may have to tell him to not say that again or to wait until later,” Prescott said. “Obviously it’s a great compliment. Obviously it’s a guy we came in together and we’ve been through the ups and the downs of three seasons. Just to be where we are at with this team that we have and this offense that we have, it’s a lot of excitement. It’s a hell of a compliment.”

Saturday’s win was the first playoff victory for Prescott and Elliott and they’ll need more of the same in New Orleans or Los Angeles next week if this run is going to take them to the conference title game.

  1. So when was the last time the Cowboys won a playoff game? You know tomato cans and all The Truth is this team has won like what 8 of the last 9 or so? And beat some playoff caliber teams along the way (Philly x2, Saints, Seattle) etc and STILL even our own fake fans say they suc. lol. What ever Cowboy Nation we are a Young team with a bright future!

  2. I just wish Michael Irvin would stop calling them the Hot Boys. I mean they’re hot, but that’s just corny.

  3. Dak remains hesitant to throw a deep ball over the middle. His reads are slow and inaccurate.
In short, he is an average NFL QB, nothing more.

Fortunately, Jerry (and Zeke) see it otherwise. #pleaseextendDak #thisistheEAGLESdivision

Of course, Dallas will always get those trusty late game calls. The refs did a nice job of letting both teams play for 55 minutes, then they call two pass interferences to extend the drive after 3rd down stops. Hate to be a conspiracy theorist, but c’mon man.

  4. Ohio State Buckeyes make the NFL go ‘round. Zeke was balling. Keep an eye out for Big Bear Bosa today.

Any high school kids out there who are blue chip prospects and want to learn how to be successful student athletes, and learn how to lead your team to the playoffs on the next level……….come to Ohio State.

  5. And that makes 15 4th quarter comebacks for Dak in his young NFL career thus far, very impressive. The man is simply clutch in the biggest pressure situations of the game, like when he took his team down in the last 2 Mims of half to score a go ahead td, 3 and 14 in the 4th picks up a critical 1st down.

  6. Their defense is top notch. Plenty of speed and two three guy always on the 🏈 ball. They have a first class receiver in #29 and Elliot again leads the league in rushing. You can call Prescott names and criticize his arm if your blind. They definitely get some calls and non calls when playing at their statium but all home teams get them. I would not be surprised to see them beat New Orleans and believe they will handle the Hollywood Rams. The only team that will beat them is Philadelphia. One out of three is not good but if third is in playoffs it’s great.

  7. Not impressed with Dak accuracy. Mediocre qb.
Dallas will be stupid to give him a $130M deal in 1.5yrs. Add Zeke to that price and it’s all over. Again.

  8. If that performance was legendary we must have redefined legendary. Elliot should be thanking the defense not the “Grown ass man” known as Dak and Dunk!

  9. For one game. Reality will strike next weekend when the cowboys and their obnoxious fans suffer a loss.

  10. “He played like a man with a noodle arm who still can’t throw the deep ball and will get embarassed nexf week when they face a real offense.”

I don’t see how the opponent’s offense will embarrass him. Dak usually plays against the defense.

  11. That performance was “legendary”? Don’t get me wrong, I’m not a hater and the Cowboys are a good team with a great defense and running game. Honestly you could do worse than Dak, but seriously now.

  12. This was actually a great team effort. The offensive line, play calling, etc. The Cowboys looked strong across the board. The Seahawks did too. The Cowboys beat a good opponent. As we’re seeing with the Colts, you can throw out the won loss records when the playoffs begin. It’s a whole new season. Everyone has a chance. Remember what happened with Philly last year? Who saw that coming? Prescott is playing well, but he also had a lot of wide open targets. That’s Jason Garrett. The Cowboys have a solid roster throughout. That’s Jerry Jones and his boys. The days of laughing at Dak, Jerry and the Cowboys are over.

  13. Give me a break. The deciding factor in the game was the fake PI call on KJ Wright on 3rd down with 6 minutes left. Call that by the same standard they applied to the Cowboys, and the Seahawks get the ball back into Russell Wilson’s hands for the W. Prescott was a secondary factor all day.

Might want to check your stats again. He’s lead 8 4th quarter comebacks. As for yesterday I seem to remember Zekes 40 yard run setting up the TD before half. As for the 4th quarter I remember 2 pass interference calls to keep drives going. But yea other then that

  15. Looks like Jerry Jones got out his checkbook to pay for a playoff run, just like he did for his HOF induction.

Every time a fanboy’s team loses they blame the refs and claim some kind of conspiracy, it’s pathetic. No mention of the PI in the end zone on the interception, the face mask of Zeke no call that would have prevented a punt, or the ticky tack holding call that negated a ST touchdown, Nothing.
They see what they want to see then rage publicly. It’s childish.

  17. Hey haters refs didn’t win that game for Dallas the defense did, shut that number one rush offense down. Mediocre fans think they know football they constantly blame officials learn the game, Seattle had there chances and didn’t get it done.

  18. Losers cry about the refs, winners go have carnal knowledge with the prom queen. Enjoy the off-season, losers.

I believe the Cowboys last drive had 3 automatic first downs ..Thats Patriot type officiating right there .

Don’t hit receivers early and you wont have to worry about free first downs…
