Todd Gurley “good to go” for Rams on Saturday night

The Rams expect to be at full strength for Saturday night’s game against the Cowboys.

Head coach Sean McVay said on Thursday that defensive lineman Ethan Westbrooks will be listed as questionable, but that “everybody is good to go” in the game from a health standpoint. That includes running back Todd Gurley, who missed the last two weeks of the regular season with a knee injury.

Gurley returned to practice this week and McVay said that the team likes what it saw.

“He looks like Todd,” McVay said, via Joe Curley of the Ventura County Star. “He looks like the explosive, great back that we’re used to seeing.”

McVay said earlier this week that he expected “a good balance” of Gurley and C.J. Anderson, who ran well during both of the games that Gurley missed in December. If Gurley’s return to health is matched by a return to form, those plans could change as Saturday’s game plays out.

UPDATE 4:25 p.m. ET: The Rams’ final injury report is out and Westbrooks is indeed the only player with an injury designation.

    I am not buying this. He’s been out and limited for a while.

    Gurley was a full participant. He’s 100% healthy and not even questionable. There’s no “huge edge Dallas” there. Not to mention his backup racked up 300 yards in 2 games. Its a push at best, Rams with the better depth at worst.

  4. Dallas is peaking now while the Rams have sputtered lately. This will be a home game for the Rams in name only as there will probably be more Dallas fans in the stands than Rams fans. Jared Goff is completely unproven in the playoffs and Gurley is dinged up so this will be a W for the Boys.

  5. Speaking objectively as a Rams fan this game can go either way. The only way the Rams can win this game is to slow Zeke down and they have been down right atrocious against the run. If by some miracle of god they can maybe hold him to under 100 yards and force Dak to throw then I think they win this game. Goff is horrible under pressure so if Dallas gets penetration the way they did against Seattle and can slow Gurley in the process then they will win this game.

  6. Dline huge edge rams? No way. slight edge sure. Girly will be rusty and out of shape and even with the rams other back that isnt even close. We just shut down the NFLS best running team!

    Goof over Dak ? I take Dak. Dak has more game winning drives then most all qbs in the nfl, he is clutch.

    Look whom Dak and the Cowboys have beaten. Rams choke in big time games with big time players. Dallas and Dak and this defense RELISH IT!

    This game will come down to Defense punching them in the mouth, rams are soft and their knees will buckle. And Dak not turning the ball over.

    I guess Cali forgot some of these gems by the Cowgirls;

    20-17 loss vs the Redskins
    28-14 loss vs Titans
    23-0 loss vs Colts
    19-16 loss vs Texans

    All on the road and only 2 playoff teams. Rams lost by 10 to the Saints on the road, loss by 8 to the Bears on the road and loss by 7 to the Eagles. Every loss against a playoff team an none larger than 10 points. This juggernaut Cowboys team was shutout by the Colts and embarrassed. Yes their will be a lot of Cowboys fans in the Coliseum, but it’s still a road game. Travel, hotel stay, and body clock adjustments are part of a road trip. Cowboys hang for the 1st 20 minutes or so and then the Rams superior coaching blows them away late. Rams 38-13

    Against Arizona and SF for that 300. We aren’t talking Bears, Saints, or even Dallas here. AZ is the worst rush D and SF is middling.

    Cowboys win in a blowout. Mark it down.
    ===============================

    It’s been marked down!

    Can’t wait to bring this up after the Rams win.

  10. Dallas has a very active and aggressive D that will contain the Rams O and come out with a close win. I hate Dallas, but they are a better all-around team, RIGHT NOW. In Sept/Oct the Rams were better, but not today.
