The Packers announced four members of head coach Matt LaFleur’s coaching staff on Thursday and they announced four more on Friday.

The lead name on the list was special teams coach Shawn Mennenga, whose hiring had been reported on Thursday. Mennenga will be assisted by Maurice Drayton, who will remain in Green Bay after being on Mike McCarthy’s final Packers staff.

Drayton was the assistant special teams coach for the Colts in 2016 and 2017 before making the move to Green Bay last year.

The Packers also announced that Wendel Davis and Christian Parker will be defensive quality control coaches. Davis was a graduate assistant at the University of Georgia the last three years while Parker was a defensive analyst at Texas A&M in 2018. He has also worked at William & Mary and Norfolk State.

  1. I heard that each of these coaches were hired because at one time in their lives each has bumped into and said “hi” to Sean McVay. They have a lot in common with their new head coach.

  2. No Packer story is too inconsequential to attract at least one troll from Heidiville. Their team’s uniforms may be purple, but their fans are always green with envy at any team that’s ever been a World Champion – let alone a neighbor that’s been there 13 times.

We don’t pick on cheeseheads because they are good at winning. We pick them because they are utterly terrible at losing. You will get a lot of practice at the latter in coming years. Practice makes perfect.

    ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

That can’t be it, because Viking fans have been predicting the multi-year demise of the Packers every off-season for nearly three decades.

Nope, I think you and the other trolls have nothing better to do! You pick unnecessary fights (anonymously, I might add,) you enjoy it, and it’s in your blood because everyone you know in your life including grandparents and parents, siblings, neighbors, friends, coworkers……everybody you know….. has been jealous of the Packers since forever, and the only thing that brings you comfort is picking fights. All of you. It’s a very bitter pill for you, and from that fact we get OUR enjoyment.

    Bon Appetit’

    Has Zimmer ever met him?

Maybe he should…….(and he’d better hurry!)

  6. Not really sure what happened with Zook, but his coaching was just pathetic the last several years. Honestly, I believe ariani1985 or cheeseisfattening could coach better than Zook. Fortuantely for the Packers, however, they chose someone that actually knows football.

  7. People rushing to judge head coaches before they coach a game thats silly, all of them start somewhere, some make great coaches… while some aren’t cut out for it. They only to find out is to give them a chance…. I don’t know if LaFluer is going to be great average or bad…. but he deserves the chance to prove himself.

Ummmm, winning championships behind the barn is nothing to brag about…..6 teams were in the league…

So, you’re saying the Vikings need more time? Fifty-eight years isn’t quite enough time?

I think he’s saying beating up on the Staton Island Stapletons and the Portsmouth Spartans is not as difficult as packer fans want everyone to think it is. Your Super Bowls are legit though.

  10. so, lets say as a Brewers fan i trolled the St Louis Cardinals relentlessly about how many World Series they should’ve won or try to discredit their championships (they have 11. the Brewers have 0.) why would i draw attention to the fact that we’ve never won it? that is so bizarre to do. such a profound lack of self awareness. what a buncha snail kissers.

  11. For many years the Packers were not good. The only reason for their latest success is they got lucky with a hall for a fame quarterback two times in a row. Your current quarterback just got your coach and staff fired, better hope he made the right decision.

  12. In the 80’s which is a few years prior to Favre and Rodgers eras, the Packers were 14-5 vs. the Vikings in the 80’s.

The 70’s is the only decade that the Vikings dominated the Pack. At least they have that.

    Poor Barneys

  13. The Vikings were never good enough to play Elway in the Super Bowl or playoffs.

    Let that sink in.

Elway has said that beating the Pack in the 1998 Super Bowl is his greatest accomplishment.

    ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

They’re all legit. Check the record books for the Celtics, Yankees, and Canadiens. They’re all legit too. I have to assume the levels of difficulty were in direct proportion to the times in which they were won. How would anyone know any differently? If your favorite team has none, from any era, then I think it’s pretty easy to blow them off.

Funny though……the evolution of athletic prowess from the first Packer championship to the inception of the Vikings organization is only thirty-two years. You should really try to sell your self-serving opinion that nothing counts prior to 1987, which was thirty-two years ago. That would be legit.

  15. I am sure cheese eaters are excited today, they get to see the actual Sean McVay coach. After all their new coaching staff is put together because of how close the new coaches once stood to Sean.
