The Packers have tendered receiver Jake Kumerow, Rob Demovsky of ESPN reports.

Kumerow, as an exclusive rights free agent, will receive a one-year, $570,000 deal.

Kumerow, 27, made his NFL regular-season debut last season. He appeared in five games, with two starts, and made eight catches for 103 yards and a touchdown.

He should have a good shot at making the 53-player roster again this season.

  1. Lions sign Trey Flowers. Vikings have studs all over their defense. Bears still have Khalil Mack.

That’s okay though, we got Jake…. Kumerow.

  2. Hopefully he can stay healthy, he was one of the young receivers Rodgers praised for practice habits. with Cobb on his way out, GB will need a couple of their young WRs to imrprove.

What do you think they should have done? Overpay for Collins like Washington did? Whens the last time the Lions signed a FA that put the team over the top?

The Vikings “studs” on defense helped them to a 8 win season. The only thing signing big name FAs the first day the markets open, is getting fans excited only, to be disappointed a few seasons down the road.

Vikings didn’t play like they had studs all over their defense last year, and Richardson, Barr and Sendejo are all likely to move on.

And Richardson, Barr and Sendejo and probably Emerson will be available to the defense starved packers but gutey will follow the footsteps of TT as far as FA. Spending 570K on Kumerow was a stretch for the green and yellow.

  7. Zimmer says acquisitioned players reach their stride and potential in their second seasons with a new team. So, we’re good!

Unless, of course, Zimmer is clueless and full of it.

Is he? Is he full of it? If he is, the Vikings have a helluva lot more to worry about than the Packers do with Kumerow.

    ________

You mean try to spend smart in FA? TT signed Cook Peppers and Superbowl Champion Woodson in FA.

There is value to be found, its just rarely on the 1st day I shouldnt be surprised a fan of a team that never won a SB thinks you can win one in the middle of March

    WR, 6’5”, 218 lbs.

    Good signing.

Yes because height and weight are better than athletic ability. With that thought process sign Yao Ming!

  10. you mean like a real owner that never wins super bowls? your team is good there. keep it up.👍 lets see if you can make it to 60 years without a championship.

Everything seems to be coming up Milhouse for the Packers

Using a cartoon reference about the packers seems right.

The Woodson that was signed 13 years ago? Pretty aggressive in the FA market.
