How much does Bill Belichick love football history? So much that he’s doing a TV show to promote the greatest players ever.

Belichick, who isn’t always the most media-friendly of coaches, will host six episodes of The NFL’s All-Time Team along with Rich Eisen and Cris Collinsworth on NFL Network.

This series will air in the fall, although it should go without saying that Belichick taped his hosting duties in advance, and will not be taking time away from the Patriots to do the show.

The NFL’s All-Time Team and another show, The NFL 100 Greatest, are the centerpieces of NFL Network’s programming to celebrate the league’s 100th season.

  1. That could be really good. Bill is an absolute stiff in public, but dude knows his football like few others.

  2. He’s gonna pick Montana as the greatest QB of all time just to keep the chip on Brady’s shoulder.

  3. superpatriotsfan says: …without Brady, Belichick as a HC as an under .500 all time record.

Is this Brady that same “2yd Tom” Belichick “system QB” you’ve wailed for 5yrs is past it?

  4. The one guy who would be worth listening to! I absolutely understand his hatred of press conferences. He is not going to reveal injuries, strategies, or answer social media type questions. But get the guy talking about football? Stand back and shut up because you are going to learn something!

  5. The comments on this article will be full of “WWWWWAAAAAAAAAAAAAA mean ol’ Bill Belichick, we hate him!!!!!!”

  6. Sometime toward the beginning of the summer, on his show Eisen kept talking about something really great and exciting he’d filmed but that he couldn’t talk about. I guess this must be it. Belichick is always interesting when he talks about football history. I haven’t noticed Collinsworth say much interesting, even about current players, so I hope he takes a back seat.

All he cares about is being on camera and being in the spotlight

Ummm, have you not watched every press conference he’s ever had?

  8. That should kill ratings. What wonderful insight can he provide in 4 word answers? “Ask them not me”

    lol

    Yeah, that really describes BB.

  10. You know, if you people could actually just leave your egos at the door (over vicarious experiences, no less), and stop trying to find ways to discredit all of this guy’s incredible achievements, solely because you can’t psychologically handle it occurring with someone else’s favorite team than your own, you might just find that this dude is one of the coolest guys you could ever hope to talk football with. Guy is a walking encyclopedia of football. Whose brain would you rather pick on this subject, seriously. We have maybe five more years of this guy if we’re lucky. I’d recommend you try to appreciate him and take it all in before he sails off into the Nantucket sunset.

  11. I believe he narrated a WW2 documentary and was quite good at it. I expect his insights combined with that dry authoritative speaking voice will deliver a must see series.

Its when people like you are asking the questions that you get the snorts, 4 words and disdain

Anyone whose ever seen a reporter ask Bill a football history questions knows he will give a long, eloquent, often borderline charming answer.

If he says it, he could mean it. They’re both terrific passers – Montana was additionally an excellent scrambler and not a bad runner!!

    ++++++++++++++
exactly. He drove that team in the ground so bad no one has been able to help them recover. Don’t forget he was fired as the worst Brown’s coach ever at that time!!!!
