The Packers claimed running back Darrin Hall off waivers from the Bengals, the team announced Saturday. They released offensive guard Larry Williams in a corresponding move.

Hall, a rookie out of the University of Pittsburgh, originally signed with the Browns as an undrafted free agent on May 3. The Browns released him May 6, and the Bengals claimed him.

In college, Hall played 48 games with eight starts for Pitt, recording 381 carries for 2,189 yards and 21 touchdowns, along with 38 receptions for 267 yards and a score.

The Packers signed Williams on May 3 as undrafted free agent out of Oklahoma State.

This signing confirms the Packers are “Out of Touch”

  2. Transactions like this aren’t big news during camp. A OL most of you never heard of gets cut and his roster spot is replaced.

The news to me is that the Pack is now down to only 3 players with the last name Williams on the roster.😉

Saturday was a good day for the offense at camp. The running game opening up big plays in the passing game is going to be evident this season. I love LaFleur’s offense.

Rashan Gary looked good and won a lot of his 1 on 1 pass rushing/pass blocking drills. Granted that some of it was against ‘De Beer Man’ who is a long shot to make the 53. Practice squad player last season. Gerhard de Beer can be seen coming to practice every day with a child on his shoulders and carrying a bike. Gotta love ‘De Beer Man’!

Bakhtiari pulled aside Rashan Gary and gave him some pointers on the field for several minutes after practice. Rashan later said that “it was cool of an All-Pro to take the time to help a rookie.”

Matt LaFleur was not happy with the penalties today saying: “We have got to be more disciplined”

Aaron Rodgers carved up the defense a little bit in the final red-zone period with 3 touchdowns on 3 plays.

It will be full pads on Sunday.
