Report: Ezekiel Elliott has weight down to the low 220s

Owner Jerry Jones said earlier this week that the Cowboys expect Ezekiel Elliott to come back in shape, whenever the running back returns.

Adam Schefter of ESPN reports Thursday that Elliott’s weight is in the low 220s, the lowest Elliott has weighed since his rookie year.

Elliott posted video on April 23 of him stepping on a scale, and his weight was 230. His pre-draft weight was 225 in 2016, and the Cowboys listed him at 228 last season.

Elliott remains in Cabo working out on his own as the Cowboys break training camp in California and fly to Hawaii for Saturday’s preseason game against the Rams.

The two-time Pro Bowler also trained in Cabo during his six-game suspension in 2017.

  1. He should go back to work and stop being a distraction Tony Pollard can replace him he needs to realize he is replaceable Prescott should get paid first no 40 mil 33mil that’s standard

  2. Hopefully this isn’t due to nutritional neglect during an alcohol binge. Not to be negative, but it’s completely plausible based on his pass transgressions that Elliot is an alcoholic. In Mexico he can probably find places where everyone isn’t gonna recognize him, so he won’t be subject to videotaping and publicity of all of his actions.

  3. Elliott losing 10# means he was carrying 10-15# of fat when camp opened. Did Elliott hold out over money or was he too out of shape to show up? Showing up fat and out of shape certainly is no way to get money so he hid in Cabo, got in shape instead of attending camp.
Just say NO to giving this partying distraction money.
