Josh Gordon is back in the Patriots receiving corps and Dontrelle Inman is out.

According to multiple reports the Patriots have released Inman two days after the NFL conditionally reinstated Gordon from his indefinite suspension.

Inman signed with the Patriots this offseason after spending last season with the Colts. He had three catches for 40 yards and one carry for two yards in two preseason appearances.

With Inman out, the Patriots now have Gordon, Julian Edelman, Phillip Dorsett, Jakobi Meyers, Braxton Berrios, Demaryius Thomas, N'Keal Harry, Maurice Harris, Cam Meredith, Damoun Patterson and Gunner Olszewski vying for roles at wide receiver.

  1. Thought he might stick over Gunner O, but either way, on the lower end of the depth chart. Meyers has outplayed them all.

Gordon and Harry on the outsides, Edelman in the slot, with that running attack….

    Good luck.

NO ONE is better at roster building than Bill Belichick – and you can bet he’s not through yet, especially after the rookies, free agents and 8 draft choices (most in the league) from last year who were on IR all year and he sorts out which ones to keep and what else they might need.

There is a reason why Patriots have gone to 9 Superbowl. They wait till every team overspend on receivers and then scoop up the leftovers for nothing. Its the job of the Quarterback who is the highest paid position on the team to make it work and Brady has been doing that every year.He won a Superbowl last year with Hogan Dorsett Peterson Elderman and a bang up Gronk.Name me Quarterbacks who could of done that.Great addition my oppion the next Chris Hogan

    LMAO at the Patriots homers…

  3. Not that classy. He asked for his release. Just was never a fit. Unfortunately, It looks like MHarris injury is serious. I really don’t see what PDorsett gives them either. They could save 2 mil by cutting him. Guess they gotta keep one of the only veterans they have. The TE/WR situation is not good.

  4. With a pedestrian receiving corps at best I predict this is the year the slide begins. Brady (who I really like) will get frustrated at his receivers and his depleting skill set; there will be internal turmoil and finger pointing; and the Patriots eke into the playoffs as a one-and-done, only making it due to the perennial weakness of their division. Put them in any other division in 2019 and it’s likely they won’t even make the playoffs.

  5. soisaytotheguy – keeeeeep dreaming bro. You haters have been saying the same thing for 10 years. Your tears taste great with beer

Jules Flash and DT are pedestrian? Then N. Harry? Jakobi Myers lighting it up? These are not the midget Patriots WR corps either. N Harry is like 6’4″, Jakobi 6’2″ and Flash is 6’3″.

You probably have copied and pasted that prediction for their last 5 Super Bowl appearances. Keep trying at some point you might be right, but not anytime soon.

  8. You realize the Patriots have the biggest slide in the world. It will take years to get to the bottom and dwell amongst you. Just keep looking up like you have been doing for the past few decades. It’s all you know.
